Abrasion-Resistant,Double M echanical Seal

The MPT comes standard with an abrasion-resistant doublemechanical seal in an oil chamber. A hard-faced balancedrotary unit prevents liquid and grit from entering the sealchamber. Oil cools and lubricates the seal faces.

Replaceable Sea l Housing The MPT employs a replaceable seal housing to facilitatemaintenance without disturbing the piping. As partof the back pull-out design, the seal housing is positivelylocated, sealed and fastened to the bearing housing.

Bearings Bearings are oil-lubricated, heavy-duty single rowdeep groove and angular contact double row type forradial and thrust loads, respectively. A lip seal pro-tects bearings from dust, dirt and water. The bearinghousing is equipped with eyebolt, oil breather capand sight glasses.
