Since 1988, PDC has been using advanced knowledge with a commitment to the highest level of service to enable clients to make more informed decisions regarding petroleum resources.
The PDC team of professional consultants including geoscientists, reservoir
engineers, petroleum engineers and petrophysicists provides a wide range of
oil and gas reserves and reservoir studies to clients in more than 70 countries.
PDC uses the latest geological modelling and reservoir simulation software. We
have simulation licences for Petrel, Eclipse, IPM (MBAL, PROSPER and GAP)
which our experienced reservoir engineers and consultants run for different
subsurface modelling.

Baobab Field Review & Reserves UpdateSince 2009 and on a yearly basis, PDC prepares estimates of the recoverable reserves of oil and gas from the Baobab field. PDC provides additional description of the deterministic methods used to prepare the reserves report and describe how the standards are used pertaining to the Estimating and Auditing of Oil and Gas Reserves Information published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers. The annual report includes classification of proved reserves (1P), probable reserves (2P) and possible reserves (3P).
Oil & Gas Reserves & Resources Evaluation PDC carried out a project for the ANPM, which is the petroleum and mineral regulatory authority in Timor-Leste. The project consisted of redrafting the current reserves and resources reporting guidelines to ensure that the estimate of reserves and resources were based on standards pertaining to the estimating and auditing of oil and gas reserves information issued by the Society of Petroleum Engineers Oil and Gas Reserves Committee.
Natural Gas Reserves and Resources EstimationPDC carried out an assignment to improve natural gas reserves and resources estimation for MEM; the assignment was to conduct and provide quality assurance to the MEM-funded comprehensive expert studies that are needed to develop the natural gas reserves and resources estimates in Peru. As part of the project, PDC reviewed the methodology being used by MEM to prepare their gas reserves and resource analysis. PDC proposed a number of improvements to bring this work up to international standards which were accepted by the client.

Upstream Oil and Gas Economic Analysis- (Pricing and Transportation): Harnessing African Gas for African powerPDC participated in a study for the World Bank developing a gas reserve and resource assessment for 47 countries in the region. This was part of a project to assess the potential for producing power from gas. PDC evaluated in further detail the countries of Mozambique, Nigeria and Tanzania. This flagship project would allow the World Bank to assess its strategy to assist in the gas industry in the region.
Gas Field EvaluationPDC carried out a reserves study for the Pande & Temane gas fields in Mozambique as part of a reserves-based lending study. The PDC team mapped the structure of the two fields and conducted a geological study and reviewed the performance of the reservoir before calculating reserves and production profiles. The study allowed the company to obtain a substantial loan from a consortium of banks led by Standard Bank.
Gas Pipeline Pre-Feasibility Study PDC prepared a pipeline feasibility study to assessed gas reserves in Tanzania and how they could be connected to the market by the construction of an enhanced gas transportation network within Tanzania including exports to Kenya. The project which was carried out in connection with project financing also involved preparing an assessment of the existing gas sales arrangements for the Songo Songo gas field and possible additional gas sales. The work concentrated particularly on the potential for the use of gas in power generation.

Gas Development for LNG ExportPDC was asked by the clients to review the gas field reserves in OML 122 Nigeria which were to provide the supply to a floating LNG vessel. The scope included analysis of the quality and reliability of the data, particular characteristics of the reservoir, and sufficiency to obtain a third-party certification with the existing data for Nigerian offshore gas fields. The final report outlined the conclusions and recommendations on a technical review of reserves and competency of field operator and were presented to the clients.
Exploration and Production OpportunitiesPDC had been asked to provide a study of the exploration and production opportunities in Oman. The work looked at the licensing and fiscal regime, the role and influence of Petroleum Development Oman, the remaining oil and gas reservices and resources analysis.
