We provide students a rigorous, college-preparatory program based on the Common Core and best practices from KIPP schools across the country. Our curriculum sets up to take the high school Integrated Algebra and Earth Science Regents exams as 8th graders.
• Jazz Music Program: Jazz Music Program: Jazz Music Program: Jazz Music Program: Many AMP students learn to play an instrument and participate in a music program that centers on the rich history of jazz. The school’s Legacy Jazz Ensemble provides many performance opportunities. The ensemble annually attends the Newport Jazz Festival and performs at multiple NYC events throughout the year.

In 2013, the team placed 1st in New York City, were semi-finalists in the New York State Debate tournament, and participated in the National Junior Forensic League in Birmingham, AL.
• It Takes a Village: It Takes a Village: It Takes a Village: It Takes a Village: Our “It Takes a Village” program is an academic intervention and character leadership initiative designed to ensure that our young men are academically on track. The program includes a speaker series and mentors for participating students.
