Distrubution
• Brown tree snake was introduced in Australia.
• Snake can be found on the island of Guam.
Effects On People
• The consequenses for humans is that the snake is extreamly aggressive when it feels threatened .
• Bites repetivly , but not considerd dangerous to adult humans .
Ecoysystem
• The changes that have been observebd since species was introduced was that birds have been disapeiring.
• The island , guam , has lost about 2/3 of their birds .
Snake’s Food Web
Reasons For Success
• An objective is to reclaim areas on Guam for reintroduction of native wildlife.
• Also, another objective is to capture incoming brown tree snakes at places vulnerable to their introduction.
Issues For the Future
• New species can kill other organisms lacking coevolutionary preparation .
• Following its accidental arrival on Guam, the brown tree snake extirpated several bird species there by devouring their eggs with ease.
• The Guam birds had no defense to the nest raider .
