The park opened in September15, 1928 and was named after the Mormon Pioneer Ebenezer Bryce.

Bryce is famous for it’s worldly unique geology.

The erosional force of frost-wedging and the dissolving power of rainwater have shaped the colorful limestone rock of Bryce Canyon.

Bryce Canyon is also full of life such as the Utah Prairie Dog, Short-Horned Lizard, Great Basin Rattlesnake, Mule Deer, and the Mountain Lion.

Also Bryce can offers a wide variety of birds such as the White-Breasted Nuthatch, Black-Chinned Hummingbird, and the Steller’s Jay
