Rifles - Spring GunsDuring development every model in the BSA spring gun range is put

through a punishing and prolonged firing test to ensure a lifetime

of trouble free use. At the end of the test the gun is subjected to

an exacting visual and technical inspection to evaluate the effect

of prolonged firing, only if it passes wil l it be deemed worthy of

bearing the BSA name and world famous Piled Arms logo. Which is

why when you buy a BSA you know you have a gun which wil l keep

on doing what it was designed to do, again and again and again.

4. ABT Safety SystemLocks down barrel during loading, preventing fi ring until barrel is closed.

The barrel of an air rif le has an even greater inf luence

on accuracy than many shooters realise. Not only must

a barrel be expertly made with precision rif ling, a

properly finished bore and a perfectly true ‘crown’ at

the muzzle, the entire barrel setup must be compatible

with the rif le that it is fitted to and the pellets used in

it . For all of these factors to come together for every

rif le, total control over barrel production is required.

That is why BSA always makes its own barrels.

Our unmatched experience in airgun-making has

proven that the degree of control we insist on is

absolutely essential for top performance. At BSA we

control every process that goes into the making of a

barrel, from the initial selection of the steel blanks,

through the forming of the bore and it's rif ling, al l

the way to the final finishing. We know that every

one of these processes has a significant effect on the

performance of a barrel, and that is another reason

we maintain full control of them.

Meteor Mk7This very latest chapter in the incredible success story of the

Supersport SEHere is the new version of the hugely popular break-barrel

sporting rifl e. Like its sister guns in the Lightning range the

Supersport SE has been revamped with a new stock and a

completely redesigned trigger mechanism.

Building on its name and heritage, the Supersport SE

Lightning XL SE

Here is a new version of an already successful sporting rifl e.

With an all new stock and a completely redesigned action, the

new Lightning XL SE delivers the same power and accuracy as

The stock of the Lightning XL SE has chequering at the grip and

Lightning SE

The new Lightning SE is the sister product of the Supersport

SE. Built on the heritage of the original Lightning, the new SE

model has been furnished with a brand new beech stock and

a completely redesigned trigger.

As with its predecessor, the Lightning SE model comes

complete with volumetric silencer to reduce muzzle blast as

well as a full specifi cation Maxi-Grip scope rail. It also has a

ventilated butt pad to absorb the recoil. A newly designed

two-stage adjustable trigger makes for smooth fi ring and

means the Lightning SE is a gun highly suitable for hunters

GRT Supersport SEThe new GRT Supersport SE comes with a new beech stock

and the redesigned trigger mechanism, intended to give a

smooth release with minimal pressure. In addition we have

included open sights and full length scope rail giving the

shooter alternative means of acquiring targets.

To power the gun we’ve exchanged the coiled mainspring

for Gas Ram Technology in which nitrogen in the cylinder is

compressed when the gun is cocked. Some of the benefi ts of

the gas ram include greater longevity through reduced friction;

less vibration when the trigger is pulled and greater accuracy

resulting from the increased speed of the pellet as it leaves

the barrel.

All of this adds up to an excellent and practical break barrel

sporting gun incorporating a great pedigree and modern

engineering technology.

GRT Lightning SE

To create our new GRT Lighting SE, we have taken our

successful Lightning model, added the SE improvements and

fi nally exchanged the traditional steel main spring for Gas

Ram Technology.

There are considerable benefi ts to the shooter of switching to

a gas ram powered air rifl e. The action of cocking the gun is

smoother requiring the same pressure from the beginning to

the end of the stroke; vibration when fi ring is reduced as the

ram runs effortlessly down the cylinder and accuracy to target

is improved as the pellet exits the barrel at greater speeds.

In addition, the new GRT Lightning SE has a volumetric

silencer to reduce muzzle blast and Maxi-Grip scope rail for

maximum dampening effect. The new adjustable two-stage

trigger takes minimal pressure to fi re and the newly designed

GRT Lightning XL SE

For years, air guns have been powered by a metal main spring

which when compressed and then released produces the energy

to propel the pellet down the barrel. Now, we have taken

our top selling model the Lightning with it SE refi nements and

powered it using a different “engine” - a pneumatic ram fi lled

with inert nitrogen. This is Gas Ram Technology.

The GRT Lightning XL SE has all the new and improved features

that its spring-powered sister has. A new two-stage trigger

gives a crisp release with minimal pressure. A new stock has

been designed with attractive chequering at the key touch

points of fore-end and pistol grip. A slim-line silencer encases

the barrel and reduces the sound of muzzle blast, whilst a

ventilated butt pad ensures comfortable contact with the

shooter’s shoulder.

An addition to all these features the gas ram provides further

benefi ts that enhance the shooter’s experience. The gas

ram does not vibrate when discharged resulting in less gun

movement when the trigger is pulled; the pellet exits the barrel

at a faster speed resulting in better accuracy; the gas ram has

a greater life expectancy than a spring with less likelihood of

Multishot Magazine

We are delighted to introduce our new multishot magazine; a

development that represents a signifi cant improvement to our

range of multishot rifl es. The new magazine has a totally self-

contained indexing system, which simplifi es both the magazine

and the gun it works in.

Instead of the magazine indexing being linked to the trigger pull it is now

completely enclosed within the magazine so that the rota automatically

rotates one chamber as soon as the bolt is pulled back. This has a number

This new style magazine works in all BSA multishot models and can even

be used in all earlier models that would originally have used the old style

magazines. The rotas are colour coded for calibre, blue for 4.5mm, red

for 5.5mm and black for 6.35mm, they are knurled making them easy

to rotate even if your hands are cold or when wearing gloves, and each

chamber is numbered so you can see at a glance how many shots you

have left.

Silencer AdaptorHere’s a neat adaptor for owners of all the Polaris or

classics such as the Goldstar and Superstar. Just attach

the larger section of the adaptor onto your rifle’s muzzle

thread, and you have a male thread ready and waiting to

accept a silencer – including the all-conquering VC.

New VC Silencer The only airgun silencer you will ever need. This latest-generation

silencer actually allows the shooter to match its internal

specification to suit the calibre of the rifle. A supplied hex-wrench

permits the adjustment of the internal ‘bore’ of the silencer, so

that the exit aperture can be increased or decreased, according to

calibre, to maximise the reduction in noise-energy as the pellet

leaves the moderator. This ‘variable choke’ facility turns a silencer

into one of the most useful hunting accessories of all time.

Also supplied is a feeler gauge in .177, .20, .22 and .25 calibres.

Warning: always ensure that this silencer is adjusted to allow the

pellet sufficient clearance to exit freely.

Muzzle BrakeThis stylish, discreet accessory has two

main functions, both of which it carries out

extremely well. First, it provides a neat finish to

the rifle’s barrel and protects the precision crowning of the

muzzle and the threads from knocks and similar damage.

Secondly, the multi-port section of the Muzzle Brake allows air to

The BSA Multi-Purpose Sighting Systems PMRS and PMRGS are compact, lightweight multi reticle sights with a 3 M.O.A. dot, crosshair, 10 M-O-A.

dot crosshair and a 65 M.O.A. circle with a 3 M.O.A. dot. It features a panoramic view, and is light enough for small calibers plinking on the range,

Why use an adjustable Scope Mount?

These mounts offer independent adjustment allowing correct alignment

of the scope to the rifl e’s bore, thus eliminating many of the problems

normally associated with zeroing-in.

Rather than compensating for mis-alignment errors by turning the scope

turrets to their extremes, the BSA ScopeMaster Professional mount allows

the scope to remain optically centred, so the elevation and windage turrets

are used to dial-in allowances for trajectory and/or wind drift, rather than

setting the initial zero, which is as it should be.
