Forms of Assessment
▪ Coursework➢ Essay, Lab report, Poster, Oral presentation, Practical observations
➢ Written coursework must be handed to school office by deadline
➢ Coursework is time-stamped; if late a mark of 0% is recorded
➢ If any extenuating circumstances exist, speak to module organiser and/or
tutor BEFORE the deadline
▪ Exam➢ At the end of the semester (weeks 13 to 15)
➢ Commencing at 9am, 1pm and 4pm
➢ Held Monday to Friday (inclusive)
➢ Usually 1 or 2 hour examination
▪ Assessment details will be available on module

Progression ▪ You must take 120 credits each year
➢ Part A is compulsory but options from Part B
▪ 100 credits passed to progress➢ Pass mark is 40%, no marks below 30%
▪ If you fail modules you have one attempt to retake in the Special Assessment Period (end of August/September)➢ Marks are capped at 40% from Part B
