What is B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)?

BE is more theoretical and knowledgeoriented. It is study based on theory.

BTech is a skill/data oriented. The course ismore of application engineering.

Both BE and BTech degrees offer students an opportunity to pursue a career in Engineering.The courses are of a duration of 4-years and are spread across 8 semesters.

There are typically two kinds of a engineering programme:

1. 3-year BE/BTech after Diploma in Engineering

2. 4-year BE/BTech after Class 12The four year programme offers more rigour to students and covers more with respect todepth of curriculum.

Eligibility Criteria for BE/BTech

The basic eligibility requirement for admissions to any BTech programme is:

Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 exam from a recognised board with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects.

They must also have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjectscombined.

Please note that the BTech eligibility criteria would vary from institute to institute.
