Engineering Manager Professional Certification Transition Program

In 2008, SME’s Certified Engineering Manager credential was merged with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) EMCI program. In 2009, upon the decision by ASME to dissolve EMCI, the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) agreed to develop an equivalent program to carry forward the work of certifying engineering managers. Effective July 1, 2010 ASEM will provide continuing registration for EMCI certified individuals and new processes for the certification of engineering managers
