BUENA VISTA CORRIDOR (Frio Street to Santa Rosa Street) * PROJECT UPDATE * 3.31.20 Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa) Sidewalk & Lane Closures The contractor continues sidewalk infrastructure repairs along Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa) through April 14, 2020. The right and partial left, eastbound lanes will be closed. To facilitate traffic, three lanes of traffic will remain open for motorists. The Southside traffic lanes will be closed while sidewalk and bus pad construction is underway. These projects are being constructed in conjunction with the Buena Vista Street Corridor, a $2.5 million 2012 Bond Project. Additionally, pedestrian access will be maintained as necessary for key events. For ease of reference, a map is provided below.

Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa) Sidewalk & Lane Closures

The contractor continues sidewalk infrastructure repairs along Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa) through April 14, 2020. The right and partial left, eastbound lanes will be closed. To facilitate traffic, three lanes of traffic will remain open for motorists. The Southside traffic lanes will be closed while sidewalk and bus pad construction is underway. These projects are being constructed in conjunction with the Buena Vista Street Corridor, a $2.5 million 2012 Bond Project. Additionally, pedestrian access will be maintained as necessary for key events. For ease of reference, a map is provided below.

Night Time Lane Closures On Tuesday March 31-April 1, 2020, Buena Vista (Pecos Street to Farmers Market Driveway), intermittent lane closures will occur overnight to allow for the complete milling and overlaying of the street under Interstate Highway 35.

MARCH 2020 ACTIVITIES: • Northside Buena Vista (S. Leona to N. Pecos): The Hawk

signal is now operational for the public. • Northside Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa): Preparing for

final landscaping and tree installation. • Southside Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa): Electrical

conduit for lighting installed. Irrigation lines installed for trees. Concrete pier footings for pedestrian lighting completed. Pedestrian lighting installed. Formed and poured concrete sidewalks. Formed tree planter sections. Excavation of bus pad at street. Started forming concrete sidewalk ramp at San Saba & Dolorosa.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR THE NEXT 3+ WEEKS:

• Northside Buena Vista (S. Leona to N. Pecos): Clean up work. • Northside Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa): Preparing for

final landscaping and tree installation. • Southside Dolorosa (San Saba to Santa Rosa): Form and pour

concrete sidewalks. Form tree planter sections. Continue excavating bus pad at street and form and pour with concrete finish. Continue to form and pour concrete sidewalk and wheelchair ramp at San Saba & Dolorosa. Start forming pedestrian crossing island at S. Concho St.

• Please note: Crews will have traffic control devices adjacent to areas they will be working at. Please slow down at these areas while work is underway, thank you.

PROJECT SCOPE:

• Improve pedestrian connectivity on Buena Vista between Frio and Santa Rosa. Aesthetic and lighting enhancements will be added as appropriate and within available funding.

• Install HAWK signal at Buena Vista & S. Leona St.
