Easy Install System

Buffalo Forge Steel Doors®

Each Buffalo Forge iron door is delivered as a ready-to-install, weather-proof entry

system including insulated safety glass, vinyl weather-strip system, and composite

threshold. Doors accept standard door hardware to eliminate the need for custom or

hard-to-find locks and latches.

The Buffalo Forge iron grilles are designed within a unique face mounted frame

system, providing greater architectural definition to the iron grille designs.

Factory mounted flush bolts provide secure locking of the passive door. Maximum

security while maintaining a clean look without the need for surface mounted

hardware.

Each unit is pre-assembled and installed into a test wall before the door is packaged

for shipment. Each Buffalo Forge unit comes with a 5 year Limited Warranty.

Glass panels open inwards to the home to allow easy access to clean both sides of

the glass. You can open the glass panel and leave the door locked and secure while

talking through the decorative grille or allow the air to ventilate through the open

glass panel in to your home.

All Buffalo Forge® units are available with full double insulated glazing panels and compression weather stripping allowing you to regulate the wine room temperature separately from the rest of the home. Wine room door units may also be ordered without glazing to give a more open look and feel to wine room project.

GlassCraft can make a door to fit your requirements. If you need a large grand entryway or your door just needs to be a little smaller than one of our standard door sizes we can build it to your perfect size. We can add sidelights or transoms to any one of our designs to keep continually expanding the design possibilities with any one of our Buffalo Forge entry doors.

Step One

Each Buffalo Forge unit is powder coated to provide the highest-level protection from environmental extremes and to protect the handmade wrought iron for years of use and enjoyment.

Step Two

A hand painted faux finish is applied over the protective powder coat leaving a rich warm natural patina finish in Antique Black, Antique Bronze, or Antique Pewter to highlight the wrought iron design. Faux paint finishes will vary due to the nature of the hand-applied paint process.

Step Three

The faux finish is protected from the wear and tear of daily use with a clear coat of lacquer to provide an extra layer of protection. The beauty of the faux paint finish is that the natural patina can usually be maintained or repaired easily without the need to repaint the complete door unit making Buffalo Forge a low maintenance entry door option.

Operating venting glass panels are easy to clean, energy efficient, and engineered to provide your home protection. GlassCraft’s exclusive designs includes an integrated sloped sill and weep hole system built into the glass panel and wrought iron design to allow rain water to drain to the exterior away from the door and glass frame.

Open the glass panels to easily clean the glass behind the decorative wrought iron designs. The inner glass door uses compression weather-stripping to securely seal the operating glass frame.

Jamb Size OptionsAll Buffalo Forge entryway‘s shown in this catalog are pre-hung as assembled door units. We offer two Jamb sizes, 4-5/8˝ wide or 6-5/8˝ wide to fit most construction needs.

The jamb includes pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation of the door unit into all framing types. A full set of installation instructions and a how-to video are provided with each Buffalo Forge unit and are also available to download from our web site at www.glasscraft.com.You can use any standard brickmold and interior casing applications with the Buffalo Forge steel frame to fit seamlessly into your home’s construction and trim options.

If our standard frame size will not work, please call and talk to our custom order department to review custom jamb options for your project.

Pre-hang Configuration OptionsAll standard Buffalo Forge doors designs are available with In-swing or Out-swing doors and can be ordered as left-handed or right-handed units. Please refer to the chart above to specify the handing when placing your order. All doors on the handing guide are viewed from the exterior of the home. Door units may also be ordered with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible thresholds. ADA threshold units are made to order and will require extended lead times.
