Development of any country depends on the development of its transport infrastructure and transport policy is closely related to other policies such as the economic policy, energy policy, social, regional and environmental policies.

Construction of Corridor Vc is the largest and most demanding investment and construction undertaking in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the Federation BiH we currently operate 92 km of motorways. Two construction sites are active in the Zenica region. These are Drivuša – Klopče and Klopče Donja Gračanica.

We are about to initiate a new investment cycle in the coming period, valued at 892 mil. € and involving 13 projects on Corridor Vc. Our priority is construction of the most demanding sections, from Međugorje to Počitelj and further in the direction of Mostar, from Zenica Jug to Zenica Sjever and onwards to the municipality of Žepče, and from Sava River at Svilaj to Odžak.

After the 1. Mart tunnel and the Studenčica bridge, structures such as the nearly one kilometre long Počitelj bridge and the 10 kilometre Prenj tunnel will raise the bar one notch higher in the world of serious construction undertakings.

We are about to start the most challenging project in our country, construction of the Konjic – Mostar Sjever motorway. Optimization of the alignment for the Konjic – Mostar Sjever section is complete and utilization of natural terrain features and application of latest tunnel construction technologies in boring through Mt. Prenj will cut the length of the alignment by 18 kilometres and result in savings of approx. 300 mil. €.

Motorway safety, maintenance and traffic control were improved with the construction of the first Maintenance and Traffic Control Centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the European Commission Directive 2004/54/EC.

In the coming period we are introducing a new billing system to optimize electronic toll collection (ACC service) through creation of new ACC service packages and options for recharging ACC devices via the Internet, SMS, e-banking, etc.

The obligation and clear commitment of JP Autoceste FBiH as a socially responsible company to invest in environmental protection was reconfirmed by the introduction of ISO 14001:2004 standard.

Corridor Vc is a Pan-European transport corridor which follows European route E73 from Budapest to the port of Ploče (Croatia) via Sarajevo

Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) contains the longest section of Corridor Vc with a total length of approximately 335 km

Corridor Vc enjoys strong support from the EU and IFIs

The project has also strong support from all levels of the political spectrum in B&H

High-quality connection between ports on Baltic and Adriatic sea

Goes through the central part of BiH, on the north-south route, along the rivers Bosna and Neretva

85% or 285 kms of the 4. motorway in BiH is 4. in B&H is in Federation of B&H.

Goes through Zenica, Sarajevo and Mostar and most of other economic, cultural and industrial centers in the FBIH covering around 70% of the whole FBiH population relying on its development.

The expressway route is histrorical roads from the East to the West coming from Serbia trought Sarajevo to the Croatia. This expressway is part of TEN-T core Network. Connecting this expressway with the Corridor 5c, central areas of B&H will get the best traffic link with the Central Europe and Adriatic cost on the South.
