ABOUT OXBRIDGE BIOTECH ROUNDTABLEOxbridge Biotechnology Roundtable (OBR) is a student-led, intercampus forum to foster a conversation between academics and industry professionals in the health care and life sciences field. We aim to create a global network of academic innovators from across disciplines, connecting them with each other and the industry resources necessary to move their ideas forward. There are currently four independent franchises at Oxford, Cambridge, London and San Diego, CA with a range of prospective chapters in our pipeline.
OBR has three arms: 1. Education – We organize seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities in each of the current OBR chapters. 2. Communication – The Roundtable Review (RR) publishes original content from our academic and professional network to increase dialogue at the intersection of science and business. Featured posts include OBR seminar summaries, VIP interviews, industry trends, and news from our partners. 3. Consulting – Oxbridge Roundtable Solutions (ORS) is a business consulting service specialised in the pharma/biotech sector. We offer short term (8-12wk) consultancy projects that are undertaken by strictly selected students or postdocs at key academic institutions under the direction of a management consulting professional or leading academic.
We are looking for writers and editors to contribute to our online blog, the Roundtable Review, which has a global audience of several thousand academics and industry professionals. If you would like to start building your online portfolio of high quality scientific writing, please contact OBR-San Diego's editor Leah Cannon at [email protected].
Oxbridge Roundtable Solutions (ORS) is the consulting arm of Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable. ORS provides opportunities for students to gain first hand consulting experience with companies in the biotechnology sector. Students typically work in teams of 3-6 on a consulting project for 8 weeks and gain first hand business analysis experience. We currently have openings for Project Manager(s) and Student Consultants from a variety of backgrounds to work on diverse consulting projects. For more information contact Brian Lamb or Amol Jadhav ([email protected], [email protected])
