1. How has God given the law?

God first wrote his law into our hearts. He gave us our consciences to tell us when we obey or disobey the law. Because we’re sinful, we don’t always understand the law and our consciences don’t always work right.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “Do not covet.”

1. How has God given the law?

God first wrote his law into our hearts. He gave us our consciences to tell us when we obey or disobey the law. Because we’re sinful, we don’t always understand the law and our consciences don’t always work right. So God gave us his law again by writing it in the Bible.
