1. How has God given the law?

Romans 2:14-15 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)

1. How has God given the law?

God first wrote his law into our hearts. He gave us our consciences to tell us when we obey or disobey the law. Because we’re sinful, we don’t always understand the law and our consciences don’t always work right.

1. How has God given the law?

God first wrote his law into our hearts. He gave us our consciences to tell us when we obey or disobey the law. Because we’re sinful, we don’t always understand the law and our consciences don’t always work right. So God gave us his law again by writing it in the Bible.

2. How does God want us to keep his law?

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

2. How does God want us to keep his law?

God’s law is perfect love and God wants us to keep it joyfully.

2. How does God want us to keep his law?

God’s law is perfect love and God wants us to keep it joyfully.

God commands us to obey his law perfectly our whole lives long.

Sin of omission: When we don’t do something God commands

God’s law is perfect love and God wants us to keep it joyfully.

If we leave out any part of it, or disobey it, we sin.
