Spirit Week Homecoming 2014 Bulldogs: “Out of This World” The following information is concerning Spirit Week and Homecoming Festivities. The dates for this event are Tuesday, October 14 th – Friday, October 17 th . You are receiving this information now so you have time to meet and plan with your officers and classes. There are no time restraints on how much or how little you want to work on given projects. The main goal of the spirit week is to generate your class to demonstrate SUPER LCA SPIRIT!!! Spirit Days are as follows: (detailed explanation is also included.) Tuesday: Backwards Day Wednesday: Super Hero Day Thursday: Outer Space Day Friday: Blue/Pink & $2 Jeans Day The main project for every class is: A “Bulldog Space Craft” Every class will make a “Bulldog Space Craft” that represents the theme Bulldogs: “Out of This World.” The base for the space vehicle will be a PE scooter and the “craft” can be made out of cardboard, plastic, wood, etc. The “craft” needs to be made so that it can have one crew member inside and two crew members that will “launch” the space craft. The space crafts need to be displayed in the LCA Lobby by 8am on Friday morning. They will then be used in the pep rally Friday afternoon. The class name (Seniors) or year (2015) needs to be on the space craft. Points are as follows: 1 st – 500, 2 nd – 400, 3 rd – 300, 4 th – 200. “Where’s the Alien?” The friendly aliens are coming to LCA on Thursday! There will be 99 friendly aliens and 1 golden friendly alien hidden throughout the school and students need to be on the lookout for these little creatures. When a student finds an alien, they need to turn it in to the high school office to be put in their class box. Points will be awarded for the class that finds the most aliens. You never know where those friendly aliens might be lurking! REMEMBER SPONSORS – The work is to be done by the students – your role is to supervise!!

SPIRIT  DAYS    

(If  a  student  chooses  to  not  participate  in  the  spirit  days,  they  must  be  in  regular  school  uniform  dress.)    Every  morning  at  8:15  am,  each  1st  period  class  will  send  the  best  dressed  boy  and  girl  to  the  choir  room  for  judging.    The  winning  boy  and  girl  will  receive  an  additional  100  points  for  their  class.    Grade  levels  with  100%  participation  will  also  be  awarded  an  additional  100  points.    1st  period  teachers  who  dress  up  and  participate  in  the  days’  events  will  also  earn  an  automatic  20  points  for  the  class  they  sponsor  or  the  grade  level  they  designate!    We  want  you  to  have  fun  this  week,  but  we  ask  that  you  be  responsible.      Students  will  be  sent  home  to  change  should  any  clothing  be  deemed  immodest  or  disrespectful  by  the  Administration.          For  all  students  in  grades  6-­‐12,  Jeans  (of  any  color,  no  spandex)  are  allowed  on  Tuesday  –  Thursday.    On  Friday,  October  17th,  students  are  allowed  to  wear  jeans  (of  any  color,  no  spandex)  for  only  $2.    All  money  raised  will  go  towards  the  2015  Junior  –  Senior  Banquet.  Additional  donations  for  the  Junior  –  Senior  banquet  are  appreciated.    On  Tuesday  -­‐  Thursday,  we  ask  that  students  refrain  from  wearing  yoga  pants,  unitards,  tank  tops,  half  tops,  and  halter  tops.    Tights  may  be  worn  as  long  as  shorts  are  worn  over  the  tights  as  part  of  the  costume.        Tuesday:    BACKWARDS/CLASH  DAY  –  Wear  your  clothes  backwards  and  clash  the  colors,  styles  and  look  crazy.  Hats  may  be  worn  on  this  day.    >PLEASE  NOTE:    QMATS  are  taking  place  on  this  day    Wednesday:    SUPER  HERO  DAY  –  Dress  as  a  super  hero  character  who  is  going  to  save  the  world.      >Please  Note:    PSAT  is  taking  place  today    Thursday:    OUTER  SPACE  DAY  -­‐    Dress  as  something  associated  with  outer  space  (space  ship,  moon,  sun,  planets,  aliens,  Star  Wars  Characters,  Jetson’s,  Star  Trek  Characters,  etc).    

>Homecoming  Assembly  –  CHAPEL  DAY  SCHEDULE    >Homecoming  Court  will  meet  in  the  auditorium  at  9AM.    All  the  court  will  go  to  lunch  after  Chapel  and  will  return  to  school  for  6th  period  class.  >Powder  Puff  Game  –  Williams  Stadium  after  the  JV  Football  Game    

 Friday:    BLUE  /  PINK  and  $2  JEANS  DAY.    Dress  creatively  in  as  much  blue  &  pink  as  you  can  (the  Blue  for  LCA  and  the  Pink  for  Breast  Cancer  Awareness).    Hats,  temporary  hair  paint,  and  face  paint  (Paw  prints  or  LCA  written  on  the  face)  are  encouraged.    The  Junior  Class  will  be  offering  a  jean  fundraiser  on  this  day  to  support  the  Jr/Sr  Banquet.    The  cost  to  wear  jeans  will  be  $2,  and  the  money  will  be  collected  in  your  first  period  class.  

-­‐ACTIVITY  DAY  SCHEDULE  -­‐  PEP  RALLY  at  the  end  of  the  day    -­‐Homecoming  Night  –  Game  at  7:30pm,  at  Williams  Stadium,  crowning  of  King  and  Queen  at  half-­‐time  &  announcing  class  winner  of  Spirit  Week  during  half-­‐time.    

Judging  Activities:       “Where’s  the  Alien”  –  Thursday  

“Bulldog  Space  Craft”  –  displayed  in  the  LCA  Lobby  on  Friday  Morning  Dress  up  for  each  day  Class  spirit  and  participation
