My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,
While we are at Lourdes this weekend be assured of our prayers. Our October trip brings this year’s service at the Sanctuary to a close and begins the work of our Lourdes to Lourdes Hospitality. The mission of the Lourdes to Lourdes Hospitality is to extend the invitation of the Immaculate Conception as given to Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto at Lourdes; to serve the sick and suffering at Lourdes and at home following the loving example of Saint Bernadette in simplicity, humility and obedience. Membership in Lourdes to Lourdes Hospitality is not limited to those who travel to Lourdes but is open to anyone who embraces the mission.
We have already begun the Miami-based part of our mission. We are organizing to support our hospital ministry as well as visits to those who are homebound. We are strengthening our ability to support the Airport Hospitality Team. And we will also be hosting the North American Volunteers National Conference again this year.
Finally, I would also like to suggest that everyone begin a Lourdes Fund, not unlike the Vacation Clubs of old. It costs about $3000 to make the pilgrimage to Lourdes, either as a volunteer or as a Special Needs Pilgrim.
I know that the Lord uses Lourdes to bring healing. Whenever we, or someone we love, is suffering in body, mind, or spirit we should do everything medically, psychologically, and spiritually possible to find healing. We should take advantage of the medical and psychological sciences and we should live fully the Sacramental life of the Church. Once that is covered I would like us all to be able to come to Lourdes and to have our Blessed Mother place us before her son.
We never know when that time might come and I would like us to have the money already aside so that there is nothing holding us back. The Lord opened up this font of healing and life for a reason. Let us take full advantage of it.

Mientras estamos en Lourdes este fin de semana cuente con nuestras oraciones. Nuestro viaje de octubre concluye el servicio de este año en el Santuario y comienza el trabajo de la Hospitalidad Lourdes a Lourdes. La misión de la Hospitalidad Lourdes a Lourdes es extender la invitación de la Inmaculada Concepción como se le dio a Bernadette Soubirous en la gruta de Lourdes; de servir a los enfermos y a los que sufren en Lourdes y en casa siguiendo el ejemplo de amor de Santa Bernardita en la sencillez, la humildad y la obediencia. La membresía a la Hospitalidad Lourdes a Lourdes no se limita a aquellos que viajan a Lourdes, pero está abierta a cualquier persona que adopta la misión.
Ya hemos comenzado la parte de nuestra misión con sede en Miami. Estamos organizando para apoyar nuestro ministerio en el hospital, así como visitas a los que no pueden salir de casa. Estamos fortaleciendo nuestra capacidad para apoyar al Equipo de Hospitalidad en el Aeropuerto. Y también seremos anfitriones de la Conferencia Nacional de Voluntarios de Norteamérica de nuevo este año.
Por último, también me gustaría sugerir que todo el mundo comience un Fondo de Lourdes, no muy diferente de los Clubes de Vacaciones de antes. Cuesta alrededor de $ 3000 hacer la peregrinación a Lourdes, ya sea como voluntario o como Peregrino de Necesidades Especiales. Yo sé que el Señor usa Lourdes para traer sanación. Cada vez que nosotros, o alguien a quien amamos, está sufriendo en cuerpo, mente o espíritu debemos hacer todo lo médica, psicológica y espiritualmente posible para encontrar la sanación. Debemos tomar ventaja de las ciencias médicas y psicológicas y debemos vivir plenamente la vida sacramental de la Iglesia. Una vez esto cubierto, me gustaría que todos podamos ir a Lourdes y que Nuestra Madre nos coloque delante de su hijo.
Nunca sabemos cuando ese momento va a llegar y me gustaría que todos tengamos el dinero apartado y listo para que nada nos detenga. El Señor abrió esta fuente de sanación y vida por una razón. Aprovechemos esto al máximo.

The School of Evangelization (SOE) is an institution of learning and evangelization development. Under the direction of Comunidad Siervos de Cristo Vivo, a lay movement of the Archdiocese of Miami, we currently offer three courses in English:
Our objective is to form many evangelizers in our parish, in our homes, in our places of work, all working together to create a new consciousness in our Church, following the instructions we received from Jesus
Participants interested in becoming part of SOE must first complete the 3 courses.
