    Silent Meditation

Prelude It is Well" J. Linker

    Welcome and Announcements

Confession and Forgiveness P: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen P: God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. C: Amen P: You may kneel for confession. Most merciful God, C: I confess that I have sinned in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done and by what I have left undone. I repent of all my sins, known and unknown. I am truly sorry, and I pray for forgiveness. I firmly intend to amend my life, and to seek help in mending what is broken. I ask for strength to turn from sin and to serve you with my whole heart. Amen P: In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ, I proclaim that your sins are forgiven and you have life everlasting in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen Hymn # 870 We Praise You, O God (ELW)

  • Sermon Kingdom Living! Rev. Christina Veres Hymn #796 How Firm a Foundation (ELW) The Apostles Creed - Page 105 I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, Gods only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again, he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen The Prayers of the Church Offering

OUR HYMN BOARDS show the hymn numbers being sung today. They are found in the back

portion of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship red book. The hymns in ELW follow the liturgies

and resources in the front portion of the book and are noted by large numbers on the top of the

pages. The front portion of the book containing the liturgies and resources are noted by page

numbers at the bottom of each page. We use Worship Setting 4 today beginning on page 147.

PLEASE FILL OUT a visitor or member card found in the pews and place the card in the

offering plate. We are blessed to have Christian friends from other places and congregations

    visiting at worship today.

IN HOLY COMMUNION we believe that Christ is truly present in the bread and wine

forgiving our sins. We welcome you to such a table of presence and forgiveness. Martin Luther

said: That person is well prepared and worthy (to receive Communion) who believes these words, given and shed for you for the remission of sins. If you cannot drink the wine, it is appropriate to receive just the bread, or just touch the glass of wine to ones lips, also glasses of white grape juice are placed in the middle of the tray. Younger children are invited to come

    forward to receive a blessing.

    CHILDRENS SONG

    "This Is the Day"

Words and Music by Les Garrett

This is the day, this is the day

That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.

We will rejoice, we will rejoice

And be glad in it, and be glad in it.

    This is the day that the Lord has made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the day, this is the day

    That the Lord has made.
