This effort is very important and complies with recent directives from the diocese in collaboration with county health departments. Thank you for your cooperation.

BOXED ENVELOPES We will soon be in the process of preparing our year 2021 boxed envelopes for registered parishioners. You must be registered to receive envelopes. If you did not use your
2020 envelopes a minimum of 10 times during the past year, envelopes will not be reissued to you. Besides assisting with the regular financial support of your parish, your usage of envelopes also helps record your Mass attendance. This, in turn, helps the pastor to better verify your level of commitment to the parish when requesting sponsorship certificates. Participation in the envelope system is also necessary for the parish office to be able to issue statements for IRS purposes. As a reminder, loose cash offerings at Mass cannot be traced to any individual and therefore not considered for an end of year statement of charitable contribution. We suggest to ALWAYS use your offering envelopes. Alternatively, there are blank envelopes available in the church vestibule, where you can fill in your name so your donation can be properly posted to your account. If you are not receiving envelopes or if you have any questions, please contact the parish office at 732‐566‐9334 or email us at [email protected]. Thank you.

PRAYER IN TIME OF OUR COMMON NEED
In response to the spread of COVID – 19 within our communities
Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey
Our Lady of Guadalupe, mother of God and of the people of Metuchen you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and hope.
We rely on you, Health of the Sick, you who, at the cross, united with Jesus’ pain,
keeping steadfast your faith You, Salvation of God’s people,
you know what we need and we are sure that you will provide for us,
as at Cana of Galilee, after the adversity of these days, may joy and celebration return. Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father and to do what we are told by Jesus,
who has taken our suffering upon Himself and has burdened Himself with our sorrows
to lead us through the cross, to the joy of resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, Holy Mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe, we seek refuge,
hear our prayer and intercede for us to the Father so that we may be free from every danger,
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
2020 BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL
Stepping Forward in Faith: Grace in Action
Thank you to all who have so generously given to the 2020 Bishop's Annual Appeal! Your gift to the Bishop's Annual Appeal helps support initiatives, services
and the spiritual needs of all, among them, the work of Catholic Charities and the needs of those impacted by COVID‐19. Through prayer and reflection, please consider a sacrificial gift to this year’s appeal and give to the best of your means. With many people impacted by COVID‐19, it is important to bring people the opportunity to grow closer to Christ and see the work of God in their midst. All funds raised through the Bishop’s Annual Appeal are used to support the ministries and programs of the Diocese of Metuchen. There is still an opportunity to participate by responding to the most recent mailing or by making an online pledge at https://diometuchen.org/ways‐to‐give.

If you are unable to access, please contact your parish secretary or [email protected]. registration will close on October 15, 2020. Although no fee is required, in the past many Jubilarian couples have given a donation of gratitude to the Church in memory of this special occasion. Donations of Gratitude may be made online or emailing [email protected].
FORGIVING EACH OTHER
In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that we are called to forgive each other seventy‐seven times. That sounds like a lot, but God forgives us many more times than that. Sometimes we do something that
we think is unforgiveable – but our God is a merciful God who is always ready to forgive and welcome us back into His embrace. If you do not know this forgiving God – or if you would like to know him better – ask about an RCIA Inquiry Session. Participation in a session does not require a commitment to belong to the Catholic Faith Family. Anyone who is unbaptized, baptized into a non‐Catholic Christian denomination, or baptized Catholic but never received First Eucharist and Confirmation, is invited to inquire about the God who brings us merciful love and the Catholic Faith that helps us to hear and live that message. For more information, please reach out to our parish office.
