RIVER MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT

The Christian Education Fund(CEF) at The River CRC is managed by the

River Deacons. It provides financial aid to families at the River that

choose to send their children to Christian Schools. It helps around 60-75

students annually with the cost of tuition. CEF is funded by special offer-

ings taken monthly and is not a part of the Church Budget. CEF relies on

the generous support it has had for many years by the members of The

River. The Deacons would like to thank everyone for their continued

support into the CEF.

“Truth that Transforms” Romans 16

Dutch Bingo

Verse 1-16: Paul starts with Phoebe, a deaconess. She is one living outside of

herself into the care and _____________ of others around her who are in

________.

This is Paul’s way of introducing Phoebe to Rome. “She’s been a

______________ to many. Trust her!”

Then Paul sends greeting to people he knows and some he hasn’t met person-

ally.

By mentioning names, Paul is doing several things.

He’s giving __________________ to those in the _____________ of ministry;

something that is __________________ needed.

He’s building ______________ that he hopes to ___________ in the

___________.

He’s _______________ that Christ is seen in their work; they are

_____________ ____________

What greetings would be received by The River?

Verse 17-20: Paul then gives caution about those who create ______________

to the kingdom.

Vs. 18 shows us what fuels such work; ______________. What does he mean?

________________. A need for ________________. A need to be right or in

_____________ fuel these appetites.

It’s interesting that Paul says this after giving greetings. Why?

Verse 21-23: Then Paul extends greetings to Rome from his colleagues in the

mission and other key leaders of the church who are likewise servants of the

kingdom of God.

Again, Paul highlights _________________. “You are not ____________! Oth-

ers serve Christ and _____________ for you! Take ______________!”

Verse 25-27: Paul closes with a doxology and blessing to Rome.

In it, he revisits many of the _______________ of the letter.
