Invent a Spider Activity – Some spiders are named for how they look like the wolf spider and the pumpkin spider. -Pretend you discovered a new kind of spider. - Draw it. (Be sure to give it eight legs, a head, and a body.) Describe it in words. Name it!

Listening Ears-Take a seat, close your eyes, and listen. What sounds do you hear around you? • Listen. • Draw four boxes on a sheet of paper. • In each box, write what you hear. • Then draw a picture of what’s making each sound.

Day Sky or Night Sky?-What can you see out your window during the day and during at night? -Fold a piece of paper in half length-wise. -Look out your window. On the left side of the paper, write or draw the things you see in the sky during the day. -On the right side of the paper, write or draw the things you see in the sky at nighttime. (You can wait until nighttime to do this step, or you can do it during the day and imagine what you would see!) -Are there any things you can see in the sky during the day and at night?

Guess the Pond Animal-Get up and moving with a pond charades game! -Make a list on a sheet of paper of different pond animals and the actions they do. -For example: frog – croaks/hops -Now act out the animals and see if other people can guess what they are.

Take a walk around the neighborhood. Make a list of all the different animals you see on your walk. Make sure to go with an adult!

Draw a picture of today’s weather. Write 2 sentences describing it.

Draw a picture of four different pond animals. Make sure to color and label them.

Raining Bats and Frogs! You might have heard the saying, “It’s raining cats and dogs.” If you could make it rain any two things you wanted, what would you choose?

-Write about your special rainstorm. What would be falling from the clouds and why?

-Draw a picture of it.

Invent a Vehicle How would you like to get to school? Invent a fun new vehicle you could use to get to school! It can be a bus, car, bike, or anything else you can think of!

-Draw a picture of it. Label all the cool parts.

-Then write about how it works. How does it move? How many people can use it at once?

-Last, come up with one tip about how to stay safe in your vehicle.
