All individuals or groups wishing to conduct a fund raiser in the schools or at a school event MUST complete this form. 2. Administration may choose not to grant approval for a specific fund raising activity already approved by another group for that year. 3. The District email system shall NOT be used for fund raising purposes without permission of the Superintendent of Schools. 4. Community and outside organizations may not themselves conduct fund raising events during school hours on school grounds. A staff representative must sponsor and administer fund raising activities. 5. No person may engage in non-approved public fund raising in the workplace, e.g. placing items for sale in faculty rooms, offices, or other spaces, or through email solicitation. 6. Fund raising activities that encourage door-to-door solicitation by students are prohibited. 7. The District reserves the right to require Burlington Township Police and/or staff chaperone coverage for events at the expense of the sponsoring organization. 8. Organizations are required to utilize the established facilities request process. For information, contact the Business Office. 9. Events held in the Performing Arts Center must comply with specific rules as provided by the PAC Manager/Business Office. 10. The District reserves the right to deny requests for events that cause disruption to the school day or require excessive involvement/oversight of the administration or staff. General Fund Raising Protocols

Fundraising Application for Category I or II Fund Raising Organizations Instructions and Guidelines: This application MUST be submitted to the building principal or Supervisor of Athletics and Activities (for HS) at least 30 days in advance of the event.

The District reserves the right to require Burlington Township Police and/or staff chaperone coverage for events at the expense of the sponsoring organization.

Organizations are required to utilize the established facilities request process. For information, contact the Business Office. Events held in the Performing Arts Center must comply with specific rules as provided by the PAC Manager. Fundraising Application for Category III Fund Raising Organizations BoE Policy #5830, Fund Raising, establishes a District Fundraising Committee, which will accept twice during the school year (September and February) applications from school employees wishing to conduct fundraising events for the benefit of Outside Organizations. Fund raising applications by staff members wishing to sponsor events are due to the Superintendent’s office no later than September 15th and February 15th of each year. The Committee shall select no more than two (2) fundraising events each semester to benefit selected Outside Organizations. The committee will give fair consideration to new proposals brought forward each year. Events recommended by the committee must be approved by the BoE.

Guidelines:

The District reserves the right to require Burlington Township Police and/or staff chaperone coverage for events at the expense of the sponsoring organization.
