Matthew 22:34-40 NIVHearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 2. Renew Your Mind

Luke 13:6-9 ESV (Parable Of The Barren Fig Tree)And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”

3. Burn The Ships

James 1:5-8 NLTIf you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty isdivided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
