Energy efficiency measures implemented in two public buildings:

• installation of individual heating units

• regulation and adjustment of hydraulic system

• reconstruction of the heating systems (pipes, radiators etc.)

• installation of energy efficient lights

• expected energy savings: at least 30%

incandescent lighting with LED based lamps at 56 lighting fixtures

• a high return project with a payback period slightly over two years.

• Financial sustainability: short- and long-term financial sustainability of its activities and approaches. immediate financial gains from energy efficient measures implemented

• Institutional sustainability: new institutional and functional arrangements integrated into municipal structure and practices (PAC, EMU, energy monitoring)

• Environmental sustainability: contribution to the environmental sustainability of the city, oblast and Ukraine by promoting energy efficiency and CO2 reduction

Public information and awareness campaign

• public information material, brochures and TV segments for the mass media on energy efficiency improvements and project visibility;

• informational events on municipal heating and energy efficiency problems;

• energy efficiency lessons and thematic events at local schools;

• training seminars for managers of public buildings and associations of households;

• a dissemination conference at the conclusion of the project
