Dr. Bushra Binte Alam is a Senior Health Specialist for the World Bank in Bangladesh currently managing the health sector programs. Dr. Alam received her medical degree, completed post-graduate work in virology, and earned a Master of Philosophy degree in Preventative and Social Medicine at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She co-designed the UN Maternal Newborn Health Program currently being implemented in Bangladesh, and she also led the design of the Joint-UN Maternal and Neonatal Health Program “Saving the Lives of the Mothers and Newborn” in the Philippines.
