PAST PROJECTS
The Mundijong trunk main was closed down for internal inspection and repairs
over a two month period. Dons Water Supply was contracted by Western
Water Services (John Forgione) to supply 14 portable water tanks and pumps
to 9 property owners along Mundijong Rd as well as the Golden Ponds
Restaurant, their grocery shop and 8 accommodation units. All of these tanks
were fitted with pressure pumps and were supplied with water whilst keeping
in contact with the property owners to make sure the job went as smoothly as
possible. The Water Corporation were able to complete their job having
minimal interruption to the supply of water to these properties.
Supply of Water under Pressure
Water supplied to Bunning’s Maddington for 10 Hrs while mains repairs were
conducted.
Supply water to the BP service station and surrounding fast food outlets in
Bentley, while maintaining a consistent water pressure.
Using water tankers takes little time and makes connecting to a site easy
whilst the Water Corporation carries out their work. Within 1 hour of the job
being completed, trucks and equipment are removed from site eliminating
the inconvenience to Water Corporation clientele.
Fire and Hot Works
ALL OF OUR OPERATORS ARE BUSH FIRE FIGHTER TRAINED During the fire season when Water Corporation, Programmed PRA and other
business owners are conducting hot works e.g.; welding, cutting or clearing
land, Don’s Water Supply’s capabilities are used to help prevent the outbreak
of fires.
Upon request, we supply our trucks to local fire brigades, DPaW, local Shires,
D.F.E.S. and Water Corporation Incident Management. We are equipped and
proficient in connecting to fire appliances and collar tanks for hellitaks. Our
trucks have supplied water to tip fires, structural fires, the Dwellingup fires,
Roleystone fires and the PIHA Industrial fires to name a few.
During the Dwellingup fires, we supported the fixed wing section of D.F.E.S for
two days at the initial start of the fire. After the fixed wing had finished their
job we then transferred over to ground support for the following 2 days,
sleeping on site at Coolup fire station so the trucks were available to supply the
fire appliances over night if the situation deteriorated.
AUBIN GROVE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Supply mains water and fire service to the school.
Once on site it was discovered that the water supply to the school and to the fire
system was being disconnected whilst works were in progress. DFES were
contacted and Dons Water Supply Pty Ltd liaised with DFES to connect the water
tanker to the fire system so alarm systems would not be triggered and the school
would maintain their fire system.
