of 8 to 2,000 people. Whether it’s a boardroom brainstorming session, a conference, a contest,

an exhibition or a festive dinner, NEMO has the ideal venue. Before, during or after the event,

your guests can also light the spark of inspiration in the museum itself.*

the ideal location for everything from a product

Outside opening hours, you can hire specific

exhibition areas, several floors or even the

entire museum for your exclusive use. Enjoy

some drinks amongst laboratory microscopes

Overlooking the Innovation Gallery and the

museum itself, the Foyer is a modern space

that can be adapted to suit your needs.

Perfect for a reception, lunch, dinner or drinks,

it is also well suited to holding presentations.

You can even select the colour of the lighting

to create your own unique atmosphere.

The Auditorium is an ideal location for

conferences and conventions. Tiered

seating gives each of your delegates an

unobstructed view of the big screen.

Innovation Hall

Hosting your event in the Innovation Hall gives

your guests the opportunity to check out the

latest technological innovations. Our current

exhibition, Smart Technology, showcases

sustainable developments in lighting, transport

and electricity.

Panorama room

You can book the Panorama Room on NEMO’s

top floor for meetings, lectures and workshops

involving up to 80 guests. This room offers a

superb view over Amsterdam’s historic centre

and harbour. For larger events, it’s possible

to hire this venue in combination with the

Restaurant and Conservatory.

The NEMO Science Museum is a wonderful location to organise

a conference or other events. We were very satisfied in all respects,

and this for a reasonable price. Access is excellent via public transport.

Studio theater

Located between the exhibitions on the first

floor, the lights of this glass-encased room

can be dimmed, making it well-suited for short

presentations, demonstrations and workshops.

Afterwards, you can round off your event with

a drink at the Conservatory.

Events with a spark of science

Let science inspire your event. Welcome

your delegates, for example, with a

mysterious smoking cocktail. Incorporate

a stimulating break into your official

programme with a technical challenge

such as the workshop Make your own path

of light, by creating a chain reaction with

lenses, prisms and mirrors. Or make

science and technology the theme of your

entire event and inspire your employees

with a visit to the technological marvels

in the Innovation Hall.

Our guests enjoyed themselves and were very involved in the

exhibits throughout the museum on the floors that we occupied.

Mosaic Event Management

Product presentation or theme party?

At NEMO, we are more than happy to help

shape your event right from the planning

stage. Our flexible spaces can be configured

to complement any atmosphere you want to

create, from product presentations to rooftop

barbecues and theme parties. We can even

book the entertainment, whether that means

a band, a DJ or a theatre group. We will also

gladly organise additional social programmes

(such as canal cruises or bike tours) – and of

course, we’ll take care of the parking permits.

A show, workshop or theatre performance

Complete your business event with a

show, workshop or theatre performance.

Take Chain Reactions, for example: a show

all about energy featuring moving office

chairs, exploding balloons and falling bricks.

Or step into NEMO’s space station. On a

giant interactive globe, one of our guides

will show you what astronauts see as they

orbit the Earth and what makes our planet

so unique.

Official wedding location

I do! NEMO is an official wedding location.

Our prime position on the River IJ means you

can arrive in style in a private boat. After the

ceremony, you can proceed straight to the

reception in one of our venues or on NEMO’s

roof terrace. If you wish, your guests can find

out all about the fascinating world of science

as the festivities proceed.*

Social programmes

NEMO is the perfect location if you want to

share the fun of science and engineering with

your clients or employees and their families.

Why not organise a family event or a kids

lecture in NEMO? The combination of museum

tickets with catering and/or entertainment

guarantees that the day will be a resounding

success!

Bespoke catering

NEMO has in-house catering facilities and

offers a wide choice, tailored to your guests.

Our bespoke menus can also demonstrate

the link with science and technology. What

about the food of the future, such as in vitro

meat or snacks cooked using nitrogen?

NEMO uses local suppliers as much as

possible and provides the possibility

for organic catering.

Technical support

For most of our locations, a projector and

screen are included in the standard room

hire price. All rooms are equipped with air

conditioning, and wireless internet (Wi-Fi)

is available free of charge. NEMO has its own

technical team to support your event, and if

necessary, we can hire technical equipment

from external suppliers.

Sustainable choice

When it comes to events, NEMO has a lot to

offer organisations concerned with corporate

social responsibility, sustainable transport

and energy, thanks to topical exhibitions and

the Innovation Hall.

NEMO is well served by public transport, and

we are also hard at work making our own

operations increasingly sustainable, through

working with local suppliers, LED lighting and

cradle-to-cradle materials. And, of course,

we are more than happy to provide organic

catering and UTZ-certified coffee.
