1. Executive Summary

What is Bitcoin and Altcoin?

Bitcoins or Alternative coins (altcoins) for short is a revolutionary digital currency also known as crypto currency. Its sole purpose was to give the freedom and control of transaction to anyone, anywhere in the world without the need for a middle man (PayPal). It can be sent to anyone at any time with any given amount, with the simple use of a bitcoin wallet and the receivers uniquely generated wallet address. It is the most secure and safest means of sending and receiving money (bitcoin) through the means of online transactions ie (eft). It is also accepted as a means of payment in over 750000 retail stores worldwide and accepted in over 1,500,000 on line retailers these include but are not limited to (Dell, Amazon, Newegg, Microsoft, Apple and many more) it is also traded on the local forex exchange and can be converted from bitcoin to any form of currency and deposited straight into your bank account.

Where do bitcoins come from?

We will go more in-depth about this on the section about mining which in this investment proposal is our reason for financial success, but here’s a very simple explanation: Some users put their computers to work verifying transactions in the peer-to-peer network mentioned above. These users are rewarded with new bitcoins proportional to the amount of computing power (hash rate per second) they donate to the network.

Who controls Bitcoin?

As we mentioned above, there is no central person or central authority in charge of Bitcoin. Various programmers donate their time developing the open source Bitcoin software and can make changes subject to the approval of lead developer Gavin Andresen. The individual miners then choose whether to install the new version of the software or stick to the old one, essentially “voting” with their processing power. It is in the miners’ best interest to only accept changes that are good for the Bitcoin currency in the long run. These checks and balances make it impossible for anyone to manipulate Bitcoin.

What is bitcoin mining?

Mining is the term used for running a series of calculations on specially designed purpose built hardware to verify the transactions that take place in the Bitcoin network. The specially designed purpose built hardware runs 100% more efficient than standard computers and have a 78% decrease on power consumption than any other products out there. About every ten minutes, a new block of transaction data is created and the miners who created the block are awarded in bitcoins/altcoins given the amount of hashing power they contributed to solving the algorithm. This in turn means the higher your processing capabilities or hash rate the bigger the reward for solving the algorithm you receive for each block verified. This serves the bitcoin network both as a system to verify transactions and as a system for fairly distributing new bitcoins. The average user will take years to generate any profit in the mining of bitcoin but with the investment of (3 Million Rand) we will hold one of the highest percentage of hashing power roughing around 5500 TH/s which equals to 55,000,000,000,000,000 hash’s per second, in turn giving us the sole ability to mine with staggering affects from the outset resulting in the following predictions.

Page 5: Business-Plan 3 million

R 3,000,000.00 yields us the following estimated gross profit mining bitcoin:

Current Bitcoin value R 3293.97

Daily mining income R 12003.99

Weekly mining income R 84258.82

Monthly mining income R 365,121.59

Yearly mining income R 4,381,458.70

These figures are based on the next difficulty rating and current dollar to rand exchange rate for bitcoin, and we will be mining several different coins giving us a 0% risk of failure and yielding us a potential 200% return after the first year of mining productions. Also with a set amount of revenue returning into the company each month to increase hashing power/production rates with 600 more mining units by the end of year one, we will see a steadily increase of reward per algorithm resulting in an end of year two estimated gross yearly profit of R

2. General Company Description

BTC Digital Mining is a LLC type entity, with sole ownership falling to the founder and creator of BTC Digital Mining Garth Stevens CEO. Currently BTC Digital Mining is still in the early stages of start-up awaiting for the first potential investor to grant the funds needed to progress to a well-developed and well-structured industry leading CryptoCurrency mining organisation.

The mission of BTC Digital Mining seeking this investment is for the mining of bitcoin/altcoins also known as CryptoCurrencies using specially designed hardware and software known as ASICs and CGminer. We will be setting up a Digital mining farm data centre which will be the first of its kind and size in South Africa for the sole purpose for being rewarded for the use of our processing powers for solving algorithms with in the cryptocurrency block chain.

The amount invested will be used in the procurement of the specialized ASIC miners from the leading industry developers, the needed network switches for linking the hardware together. All the needed miscellaneous components such as the Ethernet cables, PDU supply adapters, central control PC, mounting racks, cooling equipment, Optimal mining facility and the first 2 years running costs (Electricity, Hardware Maintenance, Facility rental costs etc)

Our goal is to mine several different cryptocoins which will be traded daily on the crypocurrency to dollar exchange for max profitability giving us a control in the market as one of the wealthiest mining farms in the world and we will be increasing our mining production each month with a set amount of revenue being used in the purchasing of more mining hardware to increase overall hashing/solving power each month. We will also be working towards investment in other forms of electricity (solar power, Wind turbines) to save on overall running costs and increase on overall profit margins and in turn decreasing on our global warming foot print. Creating numerous job opportunities for locals and foreigners alike to help contribute to decreasing unemployment rates.

Our aim is to get our investor/s on board and invested as soon as possible to start generating a profit in mining 2 weeks after receiving initial investment funds.

3. The Opportunity, Industry & Market

The opportunity presented in front of you has come forth due to the lack of knowledge and required funding in the average human being, to be able to create a successful large scale mining operations and to the ever increasing demand for miners for the solving of the transactions taking place in the digital currency network and in the solving of the block chain algorithms to create more bitcoins to feed the ever growing need in the market with over 4 million users worldwide, 75000 retail stores and all major online retailers accepting bitcoin(Dell, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Ebay, Apple)etc.

Having received the investment we will be tapping into a niche in the market and with the size and scale of our mining farm and ever increasing hardware month after month we will be controlling a huge stake in the markets. Generating a substantial amount of bitcoins on a daily basis to be exchange on the markets.

4. Strategy

To insure our success in the bitcoin mining industry we will be mining numerous different cryptocoins giving us the best possible profit on a daily basis when we exchange our rewarded coins to dollars. We will also reinvest a set amount of revenue back into the business each month for the purchasing of more mining hardware thus increasing our overall hashing power on a monthly basis increasing our daily profit output.

To furthermore increase our net profit we will be investing in other forms of electricity to bring down our overall running costs and increasing on our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, profit margins. I will also be marketing bitcoin forms of payment to all major and minor retail and food establishments around south Africa giving bitcoin a more controlling market increase the use of bitcoin thus increasing the value of bitcoin overall and giving us more blocks and transactions to be mined

5. Business Model

The main source of our revenue will come from the exchanging of our bitcoins/altcoins to dollar on the cryptocoin exchange markets. This is done with the aid of a bitcoin wallet which is free to all users to download. What this wallet essentially means is that it give you a digital wallet that is stored on your pc, laptop or smartphone that allows you to transfer your coins to other users as forms of payments or to the exchange network to sell or exchange for dollars which is then transferred to the business account.

The major cost in being able to generate the revenue will come in the form of the initial investment for the purchase of the ASIC miners and start-up of the mining operation. This will insure the profitability of the operation through giving me the ability to invest in a substantial amount of ASIC miners insuring a huge generation of profit from the first day of mining.

The profitability in the operation can be seen in the diagram below showing you what the expected profitability will be for the first year of mining on an investment of 3 Million Rand giving us such said net profit

6. Team – Management & Organisation

Hi, I’m Garth Stevens CEO and lead developer and mining specialist of the above Cryptocoin mining proposal. I have been mining on a small scale for several years now, have full expert knowledge of the digital mining industry. Fully trained network penetration specialist, electronic and mechanical engineer plus a high ranked computing background. I will be the main Director and Producer behind the setting up and running of the crypto mine. All maintenance will be performed and over seen by me, I will be on site 24/7 to insure we only mine the most profitable cryptocoin 24 hours a day. I have worked out every calculation and simulation to insure that this investment is full proof with a 0% risk of failure and to insure full initial investment return within the first 3 years of production. Creating the most viable investment opportunity for any and all interested investors.

7. Operational Plan

ASIC Mining

An application-specific integrated circuit, or ASIC, is a microchip designed and manufactured for a very specific purpose. ASICs designed for Bitcoin mining were first released in 2013. For the amount of power they consume, they are vastly faster than all previous technologies ever created. They are the backbone to being a successful bitcoin/altcoin miner and contribute to billions of dollars being earned each year mining cryptocurrencies. The ASIC hardware that will be used is the most advanced and energy efficient hardware available today, with one unit being capable of processing 5.5 TH/s which is the equivalent of figuring out 55,000,000,000,000 sums a second.

The ASICs used will be put to work mining the following Cryptocoins giving us a market edge and insuring a vast yet stable income every Day Week Month and Year. We will spread out the hashing power daily across several different coins determined by the days set value of each coin against the dollar, insuring we generate the most profitability in the least amount of time offering the greatest reward for our investment.

There are hundreds of coins on the market but we will be focusing on the following stipulated below.

Peercoin (PPC) $1,143.68 Daily profit

Bitcoin (BTC) $1,127.39 Daily profit

10. Appendix

What is CryptoCurrency?

A digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank. "Decentralized CryptoCurrencies such as Bitcoin now provide an outlet for personal wealth that is beyond restriction and confiscation" A cryptocurrency (or crypto currency) is a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of new units. Cryptocurrencies are a subset of alternative currencies, or specifically of digital currencies. Bitcoin became the first decentralized cryptocurrency in 2009. Since then, numerous cryptocurrencies have been created. These are frequently called altcoins, as a blend of bitcoin alternative. Cryptocurrencies typically feature decentralized control (as opposed to a centralized electronic money system, such as PayPal) and a public ledger (such as bitcoin's block chain) which records transactions. Cryptocurrency is produced by the entire cryptocurrency system collectively, at a rate which is defined when the system is created and which is publicly known. In centralized banking and economic systems such as the Federal Reserve System, corporate boards or governments control the supply of currency by printing units of fiat money or demanding additions to digital banking ledgers. However, companies or governments cannot produce units of cryptocurrency and as such, have not so far provided backing for other firms, banks or corporate entities which hold asset value measured in a decentralized cryptocurrency. The underlying technical system upon which all cryptocurrencies are now based was created by the group or individual known as Satoshi Nakamoto. As of March 2015, hundreds of cryptocurrency specifications exist; most are similar to and derived from the first fully implemented decentralized cryptocurrency, bitcoin. Within cryptocurrency systems the safety, integrity and balance of ledgers is maintained by a community of mutually distrustful parties referred to as miners: members of the general public using their computers to help validate and timestamp transactions adding them to the ledger in accordance with a particular time stamping scheme. The security of cryptocurrency ledgers is based on the assumption that the majority of miners are honestly trying to maintain the ledger, having financial incentive to do so. Most cryptocurrencies are designed to gradually decrease production of currency, placing an ultimate cap on the total amount of currency that will ever be in circulation. This can mimic the scarcity (and value) of precious metals and avoid hyperinflation. Compared with ordinary currencies held by financial institutions or kept as cash on hand, cryptocurrencies are less susceptible to seizure by law enforcement. What is Bitcoin and Altcoins?

Bitcoin is a payment system invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, who published the invention in 2008 and released it as open-source software in 2009. The system is peer-to-peer; users can transact directly without needing an intermediary. Transactions are verified by network nodes and recorded in a public distributed ledger called the block chain. The ledger uses its own unit of account, also called bitcoin. The system works without a central repository or single administrator, which has led the US Treasury to categorize it as a decentralized virtual currency. Bitcoin is often called the first cryptocurrency, although prior systems existed. Bitcoin is more correctly described as the first decentralized digital currency. It is the largest of its kind in terms of total market value. Bitcoins are created as a reward for payment processing work in which users offer their computing power to verify and record payments into the public ledger. This activity is called mining and the miners are rewarded with transaction fees and newly created bitcoins. Besides mining, bitcoins can be obtained in exchange for different currencies, products, and services. Users can send and receive bitcoins for an optional transaction fee. Bitcoin as a form of payment for products and services has grown, and merchants have an incentive to accept it because fees are lower than the 2–3% typically imposed by credit card processors. Unlike credit cards, any fees are paid by the purchaser, not the vendor.

Page 14: Business-Plan 3 million

Block chain

The block chain is a public ledger that records bitcoin transactions. A novel solution accomplishes this without any trusted central authority: maintenance of the block chain is performed by a network of communicating nodes running bitcoin software. Transactions of the form payer X sends Y bitcoins to payee Z are broadcast to this network using readily available software applications. Network nodes can validate transactions, add them to their copy of the ledger, and then broadcast these ledger additions to other nodes. The block chain is a distributed database; in order to independently verify the chain of ownership of any and every bitcoin (amount), each network node stores its own copy of the block chain. Approximately six times per hour, a new group of accepted transactions, a block, is created, added to the block chain, and quickly published to all nodes. This allows bitcoin software to determine when a particular bitcoin amount has been spent, which is necessary in order to prevent double-spending in an environment without central oversight. Whereas a conventional ledger records the transfers of actual bills or promissory notes that exist apart from it, the block chain is the only place that bitcoins can be said to exist in the form of unspent outputs of transactions.

Units

The unit of account of the bitcoin system is bitcoin. As of 2014, symbols used to represent bitcoin are BTC. Small amounts of bitcoin used as alternative units are millibitcoin (mBTC), microbitcoin (µBTC), and satoshi. Named in homage to bitcoin's creator, a satoshi is the smallest amount within bitcoin representing 0.00000001 bitcoin, one hundred millionth of a bitcoin. A millibitcoin equals to 0.001 bitcoin, which is one thousandth of bitcoin. One microbitcoin equals to 0.000001 bitcoin, which is one millionth of bitcoin. A microbitcoin is sometimes referred to as a bit. On 7 October 2014, the Bitcoin Foundation disseminated a plan to apply for an ISO 4217 currency code for bitcoin and mentioned BTC and XBT as the leading candidates.

Ownership

Simplified chain of ownership. In reality, a transaction can have more than one input and more than one output. Ownership of bitcoins implies that a user can spend bitcoins associated with a specific address. To do so, a payer must digitally sign the transaction using the corresponding private key. Without knowledge of the private key, the transaction cannot be signed and bitcoins cannot be spent. The network verifies the signature using the public key. If the private key is lost, the bitcoin network will not recognize any other evidence of ownership the coins are then unusable, and thus effectively lost. For example, in 2013 one user said he lost 7,500 bitcoins, worth $7.5 million at the time, when he discarded a hard drive containing his private key.

Transactions

A transaction must have one or more inputs. For the transaction to be valid, every input must be an unspent output of a previous transaction. Every input must be digitally signed. The use of multiple inputs corresponds to the use of multiple coins in a cash transaction. A transaction can also have multiple outputs, allowing one to make multiple payments in one go. A transaction output can be specified as an arbitrary multiple of satoshi. As in a cash transaction, the sum of inputs (coins used to pay) can exceed the intended sum of payments. In such case, an additional output is used, returning the change back to the payer. Any input satoshis not accounted for in the transaction outputs become the transaction fee. To send money to a bitcoin address, users can click links on webpages; this is accomplished with a provisional bitcoin URI scheme using a template registered with IANA. Bitcoin clients like Electrum and Armory support bitcoin URIs. Mobile clients recognize bitcoin URIs in QR codes, so that the user does not have to type the bitcoin address and amount in manually. The QR code is generated from the user input based on the payment amount. The QR code is displayed on the mobile device screen and can be scanned by a second mobile device.

Mining

Relative mining difficulty from 9 January 2009 to 31 December 2014 (the difficulty scale is logarithmic). Relative mining difficulty is defined as the ratio between the difficulty target on 9 January 2009 and the current difficulty target.

Mining is a record-keeping service. Miners keep the block chain consistent, complete, and unalterable by repeatedly verifying and collecting newly broadcast transactions into a new group of transactions called a block. A new block contains information that "chains" it to the previous block thus giving the block chain its name. It is a cryptographic hash of the previous block, using the SHA-256 hashing algorithm. In order to be accepted by the rest of the network, a new block must contain a so-called proof-of-work. The proof-of work requires miners to find a number called a nonce, such that when the block content is hashed along with the nonce, the result is numerically smaller than the network's difficulty target. This proof is easy for any node in the network to verify, but extremely time-consuming to generate, as for a secure cryptographic hash miners must try many different nonce values (usually the sequence of tested values is 0, 1, 2, 3, ... before meeting the difficulty target. Every 2016 blocks (approximately 14 days), the difficulty target is adjusted based on the network's recent performance, with the aim of keeping the average time between new blocks at ten minutes. In this way the system automatically adapts to the total amount of mining power on the network. For example, between 1 March 2014 and 1 March 2015, the average number of nonce miners had to try before creating a new block increased from 16.4 quintillion to 200.5 quintillion. The proof-of-work system, alongside the chaining of blocks, makes modifications of the block chain extremely hard as an attacker must modify all subsequent blocks in order for the modifications of one block to be accepted. As new blocks are mined all the time, the difficulty of modifying a block increases as time passes and the number of subsequent blocks (also called confirmations of the given block) increases.

Practicalities

It has become common for miners to join organized mining pools, which combine the computational resources of their members in order to increase the frequency of generating new blocks. The reward for each block is then split proportionately among the members, creating a more predictable stream of income for each miner without necessarily changing their long-term average income, although a fee may be charged for the service. The rewards of mining have led to ever-more-specialized technology being utilized. The most efficient mining hardware makes use of custom designed application-specific integrated circuits, which outperform general purpose CPUs while using less power. As of 2015, a miner who is not using purpose-built hardware is unlikely to earn enough to cover the cost of the electricity used in their efforts, even if they are a member of a pool.

Supply

The successful miner finding the new block is rewarded with newly created bitcoins and transaction fees. As of 28 November 2012, the reward amounted to 25 newly created bitcoins per block added to the block chain. To claim the reward, a special transaction called a coinbase is included with the processed payments. All bitcoins in circulation can be traced back to such coinbase transactions. The bitcoin protocol specifies that the reward for adding a block will be halved approximately every four years. Eventually, the reward will be removed entirely when an arbitrary limit of 21 million bitcoins is reached the year 2140 giving us 124 years of successful mining, and record keeping will then be rewarded by transaction fees solely.

Transaction fees

Paying a transaction fee is optional, but may speed up confirmation of the transaction. Payers have an incentive to include such fees because doing so means their transaction is more likely to be added to the block chain sooner; miners can choose which transactions to process and prioritize those that pay higher fees. Fees are based on the storage size of the transaction generated, which in turn is dependent on the number of inputs used to create the transaction. Furthermore, priority is given to older unspent inputs. A wallet stores the information necessary to transact bitcoins. While wallets are often described as a place to hold or store bitcoins, due to the nature of the system, bitcoins are inseparable from the block chain transaction ledger. Perhaps a better way to describe a wallet is something that "stores the digital credentials for your bitcoin holdings" and allows you to access (and spend) them. Bitcoin uses public-key cryptography, in which two cryptographic keys, one public and one private, are generated. At its most basic, a wallet is a collection of these keys. There are several types of wallet. Software wallets connect to the network and allow spending bitcoins in addition to holding the credentials that prove ownership. Internet services called online wallets like Blockchain.info, Circle, Coinbase or CoinCorner offer similar functionality but may be easier to use; in essence, bitcoin credentials are stored with the online wallet provider rather than on the user's hardware. Physical wallets also exist and are more secure, as they store the credentials necessary to spend bitcoins offline. Examples combine a novelty coin with these credentials printed on metal, wood, or plastic. Others are simply paper printouts. Another type of wallet called a hardware wallet keeps credentials offline while facilitating transactions.
