WatertightnessThe MR-24™ roof system keeps the elements out thanks to the following innovations:

• Movable clips that allow the roof to expand and contract with changing temperatures. This mobility prevents stress at the clips, fasteners and panel splices that could otherwise make the building vulnerable to leaks and wind damage

• Seams that are mechanically field-rolled 180° to complete a 360° Pittsburgh double-lock seam. Other manufacturers simply crimp or snap seams into place, forming a loose and vulnerable seal

• Roof panel edges that are joined and roll-formed to an exceptionally tight 360° seam

• All roof panels and structural members are factory-punched to ensure proper alignment and weather-tightness, as well as the accurate installation of closures, roof accessories and trim

• Staggered panel splices located above supporting steel, to reinforce vulnerable areas and eliminate leaks. Traditional panel splices occur in the same position across a roof and often in “midair”, making it almost impossible to seal effectively

• Factory applied sealant that eliminates even tiny capillary leaks and our exclusive IF curb system fasteners, which are positioned on the interior flange of the roof curbs to eliminate another potential area of water infiltration

This ensures precise panel alignment during installation, which is critical in enabling optimal roof movement and proper fit-up of closures and trims.

Importantly, specially engineered accessories are designed to fit with seamless precision into the roof system. This eliminates the need for on-site work ensuring installation is fast and precise.
