New BuyLo Discounter confirmed forWaterford

BuyLo, the new Irish Low Cost Discounter, will open its doors in Waterford for the first time on Thursday,November 11th at 10am, with the creation of 10 new jobs. The new 10,500 sq. ft. store will be located onthe site of the former Boland's Car Showroom on the Cork Road. The BuyLo model is Ireland's answer torival German discounters, offering an Irish solution to discount retailing, with well-known brands of foodand non-food household items at significantly discounted prices. There are four BuyLo stores currently operating in Ireland - Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Tralee, Co. Kerry,Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, and Killarney, Co. Kerry. In addition, there are plans to open a further two BuyLo stores in Shannon and Dublin by the end of 2010.Jim Barry, Managing Director of the Barry Group which is the exclusive promoter and owner of theBuyLo franchise said, "BuyLo is a a successful and proven retail concept and I am very confident indeedthat the potential for the new Waterford store is excellent given its central location on the Cork Road. Withtwo more stores planned for Shannon and Dublin before the end of this year, I'm delighted with the strideswe've been able to make in rolling out the BuyLo brand during 2010". The BuyLo Waterford store will beopen seven days a week. Store opening times are: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 9am to 6pm .
