Tenth Meeting of the Governing Body of SKCET was conducted today. Dr.J.Janet,

Principal, SKCET welcomed the members of the Governing Body and presented the

report to the august body. The Governing Body appreciated Principal Madam for the

prolific activities and achievements of the Institution with special mention to TLP,

R&D funding and Placement offers. Principal Madam thanked the Members and

Special Invitees of the Governing Body for participation in the deliberations during

the course of the meeting.

ICTAL VISION 2030- VALEDICTORY CEREMONY

The Chief guest, Mr. B.S.Ponmudiraj ,Deputy Advisor, NAAC, Bengaluru was

received by our beloved Principal Dr.J. Janet,Librarian & Convenor-ICTAL

Vision:2030 together with the Heads of the Departments. A brief interaction ensued

in which the academic and research developments of our institution was discussed.





ICTAL VISION 2030- VALEDICTORY CEREMONY

The valedictory function of the International conference on Transforming

Academic Libraries (ICTAL): Vision 2030 was conducted today. Dr.J.Janet,

Principal, SKCET presided over the function and reaffirmed with confidence that

the libraries, which are the backbone of all Institutions would be better prepared to

cater to the needs of the next generation, as an outcome of this conference.

Dr. P. Ganesan, University Librarian, Alagappa University welcomed the delegates,

faculty and student participants all around the world. Mr.B.S.Ponmudiraj, Deputy

Advisor, National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), Bengaluru was

the Chief Guest and delivered the valedictory address. Dr. Ramesh Babu, Professor,

University of Madras presented the conference report.The chief guest of the event

Mr.B.S.Ponmudiraj, Deputy Advisor, NAAC and Principal Madam distributed the

certificates to the participants. The International and National delegates shared their

feedback on the conference.

Council, Bengaluru, Chief Guest of the day delivered the valedictory address. He

emphasised the immense role played by libraries and librarians in particular, as a

facilitator and regulator of authentic information in this era of knowledge

explosion.

Invited Speaker : Dr.Haneefa Associate Professor and Head, Library Information Sciences, University of Calicut. Invited Speaker : Dr.Varada Rajan Librarian, Universal of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. 15 papers were presented by participants of prestigious universities and institutions from India and various countries like Nigeria, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh.

S&H - CREATIVE CLUB ACTIVITY

The Creative Club of SHA conducted 'Step up Cards activity„for the First year

students to express their thoughts and feelings with art materials as they engage in

drawing and painting.





ECE – SPOKEN TUTORIAL

Mr.V.Karthik , Assistant Professor, Department of ECE Organized Spoken tutorial

on line workshop on Python and arduino, As a part of the program ECE faculty

taking the online test. Spoken tutorial online workshop around 26 faculty

successful completed course on arudino and 20 faculty successful completed

phython online test.





MECH - INTERNSHIP AT ELEATION

18 students from the Department of Mechanical engineering are selected for Free

Training-Internship-placement program offered by ELEATION.

About ELEATION: ELEATION is one of the prime sponsors of SAEINDIA BAJA,

SAEINDIA SUPRA and National Level Go-kart events. It provides Industrial

Project based Internship which helps students and professional to understand the

real case scenario related to Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Finite

Element Analysis (FEA/FEM) field in various simulation techniques.

CIVIL – PAPER PRESENTATION IN ICTAL 2030

R. Ragunath, IV Year student of Civil Engineering

Department has presented a paper at International

Conference on Transforming Academic Libraries:

Vision 2030 (ICTAL 2030) titled “Sustainable

Stabilization of Subgrade using Coir fibers for

Pavement Construction”.

Abstract: The research paper reflects the index

properties and engineering strength properties of

the sample which are obtained using coir fibres.

Thus, the thickness of the pavement to be

constructed and the stability of the soil is increased

based on the results. Hence, the cost of the

pavement construction is reduced.





CULTURAL EVENTS AT ICTAL VISION 2030

Indian culture is unique and as a part of the Conference programme, SKCET offered

a special taste of India to the International delegates. A variety of cultural

performances blended with music and dance were showcased for the delegates

yesterday evening. The social event helped the participants to connect and

collaborate with each other and faculty fraternity of SKCET.

THEME FOCUS - INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR TOLERANCE

The International Day for Tolerance is observed on 16thNovember of every year.

The focus of the day is to raise public awareness about the importance of tolerance,

dialogue, and cooperation in individual lives and in society at large. The

International Day for Tolerance also supports the notion that education is a key

factor in preventing intolerance across the human race.
