What is the Growth Company IPO Conference?
The BVCA Growth Company IPO Conference brings together companies with an ambition to go public and the public equity investors with the funds to make it happen. A representative selection of well-established, high-growth and innovative venture and growth capital-backed pre-IPO organisations will present their businesses to international fund managers in return for advice and counsel in order to prepare themselves for public markets. Between presentations, seasoned institutional investors and public companies previously backed by venture capital and private equity will share their experiences of the IPO transition to demonstrate the quality high growth opportunities of private-to-public equity stocks.

What will be covered?
The event takes place over one full day commencing at 09.00 and concluding with a drinks reception from 5pm.
The agenda for the day includes:• Keynote addresses from a fund manager and a venture capital industry veteran• 3.5 hours of presentations by pre-IPO company across a range of sectors• 3 expert panel sessions with Q&A to explore:
– the IPO experience from floated companies’ perspectives;– fund managers’ views on IPO best practice;– advisers’ outlook for 2010/11 IPO activity
• Over 3 hours of networking opportunities

How can BVCA members nominate their portfolio companies?
The nomination process opens on 5 March and closes on 14 April 2010. BVCA Venture Capital and Mid Market members may enter their portfolio companies for the opportunity to showcase their businesses in front of panels of international fund managers, analysts and investors at the conference.
To be eligible for nomination, a company must satisfy the following criteria:– Have a planned IPO in the next three years– Have an expected market cap of £100M at the time of IPO– Be nominated by the lead investor, who must be a BVCA member– Be located in the UK or continental Europe(NB. We are not accepting nominations for life science companies on this occasion.)
