What is your favorite vacation spot?Currently, Okinawa, Japan because my daughter and grandchildren live there while their father is stationed in Afghanistan.

What are your hobbies?Baking, cooking, reading, dancing, boating and travelling.

What would people be surprised to know about you?I am a big Rock and Roll fan!!

Do you have any pets?De� nitely, Louie a Shitzu/Cocker Spaniel mix and Molly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

If you had one SMFPL service to recommend to a patron, what would it be?Bring your children to Story Time and let them develop their love for reading and then they will always come to know the library as a friendly place.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARYThe Friends of the Library is a citizen support group for Library services and activities. They sponsor book sales as well as the annual Needlework Show and other programming. Friends meet the third Tuesday of every month (except December and July) at 2:00 p.m. in the Stow Room.

FOUNDATIONThe Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library Foundation was incorporated in 1994 as a non-pro� t, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a great library system by raising, managing and allocating funds to expand and improve the library. Why a Foundation? Maintaining Stow and Munroe Falls’ top-notch library isn’t possible with public funding alone. The Foundation’s mission is to stabilize the library in times of reduced public funding and secure the ongoing excellence of the library.

1/2 cup butter, softened1/2 cup cooking oil1/2 cup white sugar1/2 cup powdered sugar1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar1/2 teaspoon salt1 egg1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cup all-purpose fl our

Beat butter and oil for 30 seconds. Add sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt, beat until combined. Beat in egg and

vanilla. Beat in fl our. Cover and chill 4- 24 hours. Roll out dough on fl oured surface or parchment paper 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1

inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.Bake at 375 degree F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool completely.

Frosting1 pound of powdered sugar (4 cups)

1 stick of butter of margarine1 pinch of salt

Beat butter. Add powdered sugar alternately with 1/3 cup milk. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add 1/4 cup cocoa for chocolate.
