Page 145 the Grace of the Sacraments Enables us to
Respond to God’s Love In each Sacrament Jesus, trough the Holy Spirit, shares God’s
life with us and effects change in our lives. In each Sacrament we can also find particular ways that
Jesus’s life reveals God’s presence and the power of God’s love.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit the Sacraments give us grace.
The grace we receive through the Sacraments is called Sanctifying Grace. Sanctifying Grace enables us to love God, to love ourselves as God loves us ,and to love others as we love ourselves.
The seven Sacraments enable us to respond to God’s saving grace in the everyday events of life.
The sacraments reflect the values and ministries of Jesus. We are called to live out these values and continue Jesus’ work of salvation, sharing with others the good news that God is with us always.
The 7 Sacraments
In each sacrament Jesus, trough the Holy Spirit, shares God’s life with us and effects change in our lives.

his love and forgiveness. Anointing of the sick - People who are sick and suffering

for family life and service by their faithful love.
Sacraments sanctify us and build up the Body of Christ
Sacraments have a threefold purpose: Sanctify us, or make us holy, which gives
us the grace to live as disciples of Jesus and live as members of the church.
Builds up the church as the Body of Christ, which makes the Church an effective sign of the Kingdom of God in the world
