A Regional Youth Service Center (RYSC) is a center of excellence that coordinates a spectrum of community-based services to provide meaningful partnerships with families and youth. The goal is to improve youth’s functioning in the home, school and community. The six regional youth service centers make up the West Virginia Youth Behavioral Health Network. The “Network” has been established in order to work on system development, identifying gaps, removing barriers and strengthening the system through shared support and collaboration. The Network will use a collaborative approach to youth service delivery, both at a regional and state level. The vision for the Network is to provide individualized, strength-based services in an integrated environment by incorporating evidence-based practices and effective cross-system collaboration. Their purpose is to provide early detection, treatment, and recovery support services for substance use disorders, mental health and co-occurring disorders for youth (12-17)/Transitional Aged Youth (18-25). These services will be made available at each center and in the community to serve youth and their families/primary caregivers.
