Clothing For Men• Clothing for men in China are dress like. The dress goes from shoulder to feet. It is very loose. Some have long drapes of cloth, ribbons or bands and embroidery patterns to enhance this dress. That is the traditional style for men. Sometimes it can have a long hanging sleeve for decoration. They usually wear darker colors than the women. They wear bright colored accessories instead.

Cheongsam• A Cheongsam is a one piece body suit for women that is very popular. It goes down from shoulder to knees. It is usually tight and fitting. A Cheongsam is common in the Chinese culture. You can spot many women wearing a Cheongsam in China.

• Fact: A Chang Pao is very similar. It is plain and goes to the ankle. The different is that it is usually very loose.

Quipau• The Quipau is for women. Long ago it was used as an undergarment, now the Quipau is more popular and is worn alone as a normal blouse. You would usually see a Chinese women in a Quipau.

Sheni• The Sheni is for women. It is made of a tunic (shirt) attaching to a skirt. They're stitched together to make a whole dress. Sometimes it has along silk piece hanging from the arm for decoration.

Clothes f0r Kids• The kids clothes are loose, baggy , and comfortable for school and field work. Their clothes are similar to ours but they don’t look as “cool” as ours in the USA. They use most the same colors. Most girls wear pink, yellow, red or orange T-shirts. Boys usually wear plain or patterned shirts.
