Key Findings

Organization

•Move sponsors to the bottom of the page•Remove pictures from banner, and integrate in to a center newsfeed which provides captions •Remove all the vision and mission statements into a “About us” Section.•Add quick links tab to the right•Move menu from the top to a left justified, vertical menu

Menu Set-up

Introduce a menu which divides all the info by;1. Coaches2. Players3. Parents4. RefereesKeep layout clean and

organized, use a larger font . Menu with be left justified. And the website should NOT have to be viewed in Compatibility mode.

Layout

•Have sponsors lined up on the bottom, they should be the same size. Have a central news feed, with information from the newsletter. Add pictures, captions and players of the week.This provides a great space for key information, and featured events.

By adding a quick links tab on the right side of the home page, users can quickly access schedules, standings, tournaments and other key links. These links should be added based on the statistics of the current webpage, and most commonly used links.

Main Menu

In the Main menu the following links should be used to divide ALL information.HOMEPARENTSPLAYERSREFEREESCOACHESABOUT USCONTACT INFOCLUBS AREALINKS

All documents, FAQ’s, camps and programs will then be further divided to be added in the appropriate section. Furthermore a “Starting up”, option will be introduced, to each section for new users. At the very bottom of the page, there will be a log in/link for Administration to go in and change/ update as required.

Additions

•Introduce Forums, separate for coaches and players/parents, this allows for communication between users.

-coaches to share tips, ask questions, and better communicate with one another.

- parents to get perspective from other parents, ask questions and learn from one another

-Must have moderators as well to ensure there is no abuse•Highlight successful players and teams, by introducing a player of the week, on the home page. Add pictures and video clips via You Tube if there is demand

Quick Fixes

•Update FAQ’s & have a starting out section for new parents, players and coaches•Referee guide lines for parents, so they are aware why certain calls are made•More information for coaches •Fix the search engine, so it actually works•Make sure everything is embedded in to the site, other than documents like forms that NEED to be in PDF format. When it is a PDF it should be indicated next to the document. •Ensure that all field maps are included on the site, no links should be missing•Embedding the schedules so that you do not have to click as much•Keep main menu throughout website

Search Engine

By having an efficient search engine, new users as well as frequent users will be able to access things easier
