JASON SOUTHERLAND (Director) is thrilled to return to Diversionary Theatre,where his last outing was the co-production (with Moxie) of Pulp. He is an award-win­ning director/producer and the current Artistic Director of Next Theatre Company inChicago. He was the founding Artistic Director of Boston Theatre Works, where hisproductions garnered the Outstanding Production award 5 out of his 10 seasons.During his time at BTW, the company produced twelve world premieres and devel­oped over sixty new plays through commissions, development agreements and anannual festival of new plays. As a director, Jason's productions for BTW included theNew England premieres of Homebody/Kabul, Not About Nightingales, Angels inAmerica: Parts I & I/, I Am My Own Wife and The Laramie Project. He directed theworld premiere of Return to Haifa and the Chicagoland premiere of boom at Next.Jason also spent five years in New York City, where he worked with BACA Downtown,Circle Rep Laboratory, Lehman/Engel BMI Workshop, Alice's Fourth Floor and theSanford Meisner Theatre. Jason studied directing at the American Repertory Theatreat Harvard University. He has served as production assistant and/or assistant directorfor Julianne Boyd, Jerry Zaks, Hal Prince, Des McAnuff, Oskar Eustis, ChristopherAshley and many others. He holds a B.A. cum laude in political science from theUniversity of California at Berkeley. He is a two-time winner of the Joe Hardy DirectingFellowship, received a Drama League Fellowship, was honored with an Elliot NortonAward for Outstanding Direction for his 2008 production of Angels in America andwas chosen by Boston magazine as #4 on their list of the "40 Bostonians to Watch."Thanks to Dan and Bret for "bringing me home."

BETH GALLAGHER (Assistant DirectorJProjections) has her M.A. in TheatreArts and a Teaching Credential in English from SDSU. Previous credits include:lon/Diversionary: Bent (Scenic Artist, Props); Diversionary: The Marriage Bed (SM,Paint); The New Century (Scenic Artist); SDSU: The Grapes of Wrath, In the Beginning(Props), and Conversations with the Moon (SM, Set Designer).

GWENDOLYN FISH (Stage Manager) is honored to be a caretaker of storiesand storytellers. At Diversionary (Associate Artist): Bent (with ion), The Little DogLaughed, Scrooge in Rouge, Bluebonnet Court (with MOXIE). KEVIN KOPPMAN-GUE (Solomon) is very excited to be makinghis debut at Diversionary Theatre. STEPHEN KARAM (Playwright) is the author of Speech andDebate (GLAAD Media nomination) which had an acclaimed, twice­extended run at Roundabout Theatre Company as the inaugural pro­duction of Roundabout Underground. He is the co-author of columbi­nus (2006 Helen Hayes nomination), which ran off-Broadway at NewYork Theatre Workshop following a co-production by RoundHouse/Perseverance Theatres. His last two plays, Speech and Debateand Girl on Girl, debuted as workshop productions at PlaywrightsRep. He is currently working on a new play commission forRoundabout Theatre Company and a screenplay adaptation ofSpeech and Debate for Overture Films. Karam's writing has alsoappeared in The Advocate and online at McSweeney·s. He is a grad­uate of Brown University.

TED CRITTENDEN (Scenic Design) is a third generation San Diegan on bothsides. This is Ted's first show at Diversionary Theatre. Recently he has designed forScripps Ranch Playhouse and Common Ground Theater in San Diego under the lateDr. Floyd Gaffney. Prior returning to San Diego eight years ago, Ted worked in LosAngeles in film, television, and theater design and set construction. His portfolio canbe seen at www.tedcrittenden.com. Ted also designs and builds for Artisan BrothersConstruction, a company specializing in residential remodeling. His residential workcan be seen at Artisanbrothersconstruction.com.

KATE STALLONS (Costume Design) is thrilled to be making her design debutat the Diversionary Theatre. She first made her mark as a designer at the San DiegoRepertory Theatre with the Fritz Blitz' production of Hair, and she has since collecteddesign credits including Ion Theatre's Marat/Sade, Pirates of Point Loma, and LongStory Short, all the while fulfilling her duties as the Rep's costume shop manager.Kate will next give San Diego a unique take on style in SCPA's production of AMidsummer Night's Dream and their collaboration with the San Diego Rep inHairspray.

KARIN FILIJAN (Lighting Designer) has an MFA in lighting design from UCSDand teaches theatre arts at Cal State University San Marcos and at Palomar College.She has designed lighting for Cygnet Theatre, North Coast Repertory Theatre,Diversionary Theatre, Renaissance Theatre Co., 6th@Penn Theatre, Lamb's PlayersTheatre, Avo Playhouse, Playwrights' Project, and Scripps Ranch Theatre, and washonored with a KPBS Patte' Award for Theatre Excellence.

NHAN P. PHAM (Sound Design) has worked as a sound designer since 2003.He has attended Mesa College and SDSU, and has plans to head to UCSD for an MFAin Sound Design. He has worked on Lawyers, Guns, and Money, Suburbia, TheMusical of Musicals, Dear Harvey, temp Odyssey, Urine Town, I love you because, AClass Act, and KimBop Hiphop.

DAVID .I.
