Description
Cirrhosis is a late stage of scarring (fibrosis) of the liver caused by many forms of liver diseases and conditions. This occurs in response to liver damage and can not be undone. If diagnosed early, it can be treated. It is estimated that 10 to 15% of alcoholics develop cirrhosis.
