• Miramichi is the mother of all salmon rivers and has some of the largest salmon runs in Canada! In 5 years or less Miramichi will be one of the cleanest rivers in Canada.

• Before you can fish salmon you need the right equipment. You should have a boat, but you can fish on shore or have suspenders to wade in the water.

• You also need a dip net and a fishing rod.

• Fishing rods are very important when its comes to fishing.

• There are many different types of them. Such as fly fishing, salmon rods and many others.

Boats cost a lot of money but come in many different sizes shapes and weights, so there is always one that would fit your lifestyle. They reallycome in handy for fishing. You wouldn’t have to stand in the river all day or sit on the shore.

Salmon fishing in the Miramichi is known all over Canada. They have really slimy scales but are a really good dinner!
