What is BY(i)TES?

A self-assessment tool to enable schools to gauge their level of ICT implementation to work towards achieving excellence in using ICT for learning and teaching

All schools will have to submit the Byite score.

Each domain will have sub indicators and there will be levels of scoring for each indicator

•3 domains

Levels 1-4 for each subdomain indicator. 1- least 4 - most•DOMAIN 2 - STUDENTS

All Xinmin teachers must craft a ICT lesson that aims between 3 and 4 levesl of scoring.

• SDL and COL• Provides exemplars for

peer sharing• Allows reflection

• This lesson plan must be submitted for EPMS to your HOD IP and HOD ICT and will also be displayed for school website.

Teachers will score on where their lesson stands and how the students benefit.

• The score of the sub-

domain is the average

of the scores of its

indicators.

• The score of the

domain is the average

of the scores of its

sub-domains.

•The overall BY(i)TES score is the average of the scores of all

three domains.

Your Score Matters As It Will Impact The Average Of Your Department !

• Applies to Sec 1 to Sec 3 students (Sec 4 as normal)

• Crafted E-Lessons on new LMS that serve well for revision prior to exams

• All lessons must be crafted by 17th April

Teachers Preparation Workshops

• MUST attend generic workshop held during 2 assemblies on the

• 21st and 28th - for Lower and Upper Assemblies unless the discipline teachers. (If you cannot attend a workshop on the designated day, then please attend the other)

• Specific workshops will also be held during respective TTT.
