Accessing IT Support for your BYOx Device.

All maintenance for the IT device, operating system, software and/or apps purchased by the family are the responsibility of the family. Families should ensure quick maintenance turnaround for student devices.

If you run into a problem, we advise students to see the school IT staff who will attempt to diagnose the fault. If this is not able to be resolved, they can recommend a course of action for repair (eg. warranty claim, insurance claim etc.). Troubleshooting will be limited to running an inbuilt diagnostic that has been installed by the manufacturer of your device and will only be performed in the presence of the student or parent.

School IT staff will not at any time change any device settings or hardware, if you have problems connecting to the BYO network we will advise on how to resolve the problem.

All BYO assistance will be provided to students during class time with the help of a Teacher Aide or at the IT Support desk in the school library during break times.

The process to access support is;

- the student will need to go to the Library counter during break times and informthat they require support for their BYO device

- If support is not able to be given immediately the student will be provided with anappointment card with a time and date to have their device issues resolved

- this card will be the students’ permission out of class and must be shown to theirclass teacher when leaving the class
