ApplyHow to NEW FRESHMENStep 1: Complete your application. You can apply online using either the UW-System Application at apply.wisconsin.edu or Common App at commonapp.org.
Step 2: Pay $25 application fee.
Step 3: Send ACT/SAT scores (if you’re under 21) and official high school transcript to UWM if you have them. UWM will accept unofficial high school transcripts and self-reported test scores as well. If you indicated you’d like to pursue test optional admissions review on your application, you will not be required to submit ACT/SAT scores.

HOW TO AFFORD ITFAFSA: Seventy-five percent of UWM students receive financial aid – usually a combo of scholarships, loans, grants and work-study. To receive financial aid, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available Oct. 1, 2020, at fafsa.gov. Submit early; the FAFSA determines the types of financial aid you’re eligible for. uwm.edu/financialaid
SCHOLARSHIPS: UWM awarded students more than $10 million in scholarships in 2018-19. Incoming freshmen admitted by Dec. 1, 2020, are considered for certain university scholarships.
