Puzzle Fun with Numbers 10-20! Make your own puzzle or print out the ones attached!
This game is best played with a partner. The object of the game is to see who can lose all of their Lego bricks first! First, stack up your tower with 10 bricks.. Then, roll the dice. Take off that number of bricks and then count how many you have left. Say the equation or talk through the math language. For example: “I had 10 bricks, I took off 2, and now I have 8.” You can write equations for each roll to extend the learning! Keep rolling and removing bricks until there are none left. The first person to unstack them all is the winner! Play again, or increase the number for a longer game!

What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about birds? Bonus Activity: Can you build a nest that will hold an egg? Give it a try. If you can go outside, gather twigs, leaves, and grass to build with — just like birds do! If you can’t go out, use torn paper, rolled up paper, and string. You can’t use glue or tape! When you’re done building, test your nest with something round — like a marble, or even a real egg!

Reflection 5-10 minutes
Reflect on the day or week in writing and/or pictures. Answer questions such as: What is one new thing you learned? What is something you tried your best at? What was the best part of the day/week? What was hard? How are you feeling? What is your goal for tomorrow/next week?
Other considerations: Not everything needs to be online. Playing games such as Uno, Yahtzee, Boggle, Scrabble Jr., Monopoly, etc. provide additional reading and math practice.
