CIFFI is the International Film Festival of India being organised by Delhi Metropolitan Education – DME (www.dme.ac.in) of India in association with Deakin University (www.deakin.edu.au) of Australia.

The first addition of CIFFI was held on April 17-20, 2019 in DME campus while Deakin University authorities and Australian filmmakers joined both in online and offline mode.

Deakin University is one of the biggest public universities of Australia located in Melbourne.

This year CIFFI is being organised on the central theme Cinema 'n Covid-19 Impact revolving around paradigm shift in cinema in view of the spread of the coronavirus since March 2020. Amid COVID-19, cinema viewers have apparently shifted from traditional motion picture to OTT and online streaming platforms for cinema and entertainment. CIFFI will explore and deliberate on these changes through various screening sessions, workshops and master classes by eminent experts.

CIFFI is open to college students and independent filmmakers from across the globe.

The selection of films will be conducted by the Nomination Jury comprising film experts, faculty members and student coordinators at least one month ahead of the festival. The selected films will be slated for screening during the festival.

Cineaste International Film Festival-CIFFI was organised by Delhi Metropolitan Education in Noida, New Delhi NCR in association with Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia on April 17-20, 2019. The event witnessed participation of renowned film makers from all across India and abroad. During four-day, filmmakers from 12 countries including Australia, France, Egypt, China, USA, Croatia, UK, Argentina, Israel, Ireland, Pakistan and India participated in the festival.
