Constructing pieced blocks 1. Block Center.
a. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” print square. Place square, right sides together, at a corner of (1) 1 ¾” x 3” Fabric E rectangle. Sew on drawn line. Trim ¼” away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal corner triangle. Repeat with another 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” print square to make (1) flying geese unit. Make a total of (4) units.
b. Sew (2) flying geese units to the left and right sides of (1) 3” x 3’ Fabric E square to make a row unit.
(2) 3 ½” X 69 ½” and (2) 3 ½” x 79 ½” strips.

2. Middle Units. Sew (1) 3” x 5 ½” Fabric E rectangle and (1) 3” x 5 ½” print rectangle along the long sides. Unit measures 5 ½” x 5 ½” unfinished. Make a total of (4) units.
3. Corner Units. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 3” x 3” Fabric E square. Place square, right sides together, at a corner of (1) 5 ½” x 5 ½” print square. Sew on drawn line. Trim ¼” away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal corner triangle. Repeat with (3) additional Fabric E squares at the remaining corners of the same print square to make a diamond-in-square unit. Unit measures 5 ½” x 5 ½” unfinished. Make a total of (4) units.
4. Sew (2) corner units to the opposite sides of (1) middle unit to make a row unit. Make a total of (2) row units.
5. Sew (2) middle units to the opposite sides of block center to make a row unit.
6. Sew together row units made in steps 4 and 5 to complete (1) pieced block.
7. Make a total number of blocks for the following prints:

Quilt Center Assembly 1. Pieced rows. Refer to quilt image for block placement guide, arrange and sew together (4) pieced blocks and (3) 1 ½” x 15 ½” Fabric E rectangles to make a pieced row. Make a total of (5) pieced rows. Row 1 is shown below.
2. Pieced sashing rows. Sew together (4) 1 ½” x 15 ½” Fabric E rectangles and (3) 1 ½” x 1 ½” Fabric H squares to make a pieced sashing row. Make a total of (4) pieced sashing rows.
3. Sew together pieced rows and pieced sashing rows to complete quilt center.
4. Inner border. Sew (2) 3 ½” x 79 ½” Fabric E strips to the opposite long sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 3 ½” x 69 ½” Fabric E strips to the remaining opposite short sides of quilt center. 5. Outer border. Sew (2) 4” x 85 ½” Fabric B strips to the opposite long sides of quilt center, followed by (2) 4” x 76 ½” Fabric B strips to the remaining opposite short sides of quilt center to complete quilt top.
