Dear Resident WEST GATE FREEWAY NIGHTWORKS: BETWEEN SUNDAY 17 JANUARY AND FRIDAY 5 FEBRUARY 2016 The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. The project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. CPB Contractors (formally Leighton Contractors) is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. Where we will be We will be working on the West Gate Freeway from Moray Street to Munro Street, as indicated in red on the map below. When works will occur Night works are scheduled to occur between 7pm to 6am during the following dates: Sunday 17 January to Thursday 21 January 2016 Tuesday 26 January to Thursday 28 January 2016 Sunday 31 January to Thursday 4 February 2016. What we are doing The following works will be carried out along the West Gate Freeway in preparation for constructing an additional lane: Installation of safety screens on concrete barriers along the road corridor

The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods.

What to expect A small team of construction personnel at work on the freeway Flashing safety lighting advising motorists of lane closures Noise from machines that will be drilling into the road, cranes installing the light brackets and

the hydro blasting truck when in use for line marking on the freeway.
