CZECHEASTER TRADITION

AT SCHOOL During Art lessons pupils make little Easter crafts or paint eggs.

TRADITIONFrom Thursday before Easter the church bells stop ringing, in order to remember

Jesus‘ death. Instead of the bells boys go round the village and rattle. On Easter Sunday the bells start ringing again.

On Easter Day in the morning boys beat girls with branchlets. Girls give

them painted eggs and some sweets.

FOOD A typical food for Easter lunch is lamb with potatoes.

A traditional dessert is baked sweet lamb.

Recipe: 1 and half cup of sugar

2 and half cup of flour

4 eggs

1 baking powder

1 vanilla sugar

1 whipped cream

2 teaspoons of lemon skin
