CAET 2017 Conference Objectives:
1) Discuss opportunities to support person/family centered care and the application/ dissemination of this knowledge in all clinical settings across the continuum of care;
2) Incorporate current evidence based strategies into person/family centred care through technologies, applications, and treatments related to specialized wound, ostomy, and continence practice;
3) Advance the leadership role of enterostomal therapy nurses and aligned healthcare professionals through education, advocacy, research, and professional development;
4) Promote the interprofessional team approach for health care providers in providing skin/wound management and person/family centered care;
5) Establish networks with all members of the healthcare team to establish a integrated community of care to support people/families with wound, ostomy, and continence issues.
