We’ll be studying and working on coding a program using VB language to create a program that will link the data to excel and save the data so it’s accessible and at the same time, sending an email to the business in order to keep track of customer reservations. Husky Data Consulting will be working on putting this program onto the website so it can be used online.

Solution Summary

Offer greater efficiency

Greater convenience for management in reserving times for reservations. Store and update customer data including name, phone, address, times, and reservation history.

No longer need to call in to set up a reservation time. They can do it straight from the online user interface to check times, so they don’t need to call back if they need a different time in case the time they wanted was full or taken.

The staff no longer need to be tied up on the phone setting up reservations with the customers. Customers can do it straight online and the reservation system will update the database that the specific time frame slot is taken.

Management can also check reports to see the number of reservations for specific times of the month in case they need to have more staff on those days.

More secure than having the employee’s right down the customer’s info. There’s also going to be security issues with people writing down customer’s credit card information and stuff like that. So the new reservation system will allow only management to see that type of information so customers can feel at ease when they reserve a time online knowing that the system has there information and not a staff member.

Humans do make mistakes, so a potential staff member could write down a wrong time. The new system would get the right time slot reserved. These solutions of the system will lead to greater efficiency and therefore greater profitability as well. It will make Café Renaissance’s image more desired knowing that customers have the desired time reserved for their special occasions.
