What is CALDO?

• Consortium of the University of Alberta, Laval University, Dalhousie University, and the University of Ottawa, established in 2010

• Four of Canada’s top research universities, offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs

• Diverse range of world-class researchers and facilities

• Primary objective is to coordinate outreach to international partner institutions, particularly where the consortium can offer mutual advantages of its four members to partners

Why CALDO?

• Canada’s top research universities have — U15?

• CALDO universities are four of the best in the G-13; we believe working together can achieve goals that the other G-13 universities cannot achieve alone

• CALDO is a bold new initiative in Canada—an active consortium with tight coordination and close connections, designed to interact effectively with international partner institutions
